Italy Pictures

For any of you interested in traveling vicariously I thought I would share some pics from our trip to Italy last month.  It was absolutely splendid!  I only missed eating gelato one day, but ate it twice on another day to make up for it.   (Ice cream sandwich emoticon will have to do). My life; covered in red mud dust

So, we have been back from Italy for almost a month now.  While we were there, I realized that it was common to hang clothes outside there.  It wasn't a matter of them being poor or not having a dryer, you just hang your laundry outside to dry.  I have always had this tendency, but I thought it was because I am cheap.  Maybe I am just European.        I am a clean freak.  Organizing fool.  There's a lot of backstory to this.  My mom cleaned the whole house every Saturday.  We helped an

New tooth!

Sometimes I think I an keeping my dentist in business.  Maybe even providing his family with cars!   3 weeks ago yesterday a crown lifted off while I was eating a Gusher.  I didn't notice it came off so I just chomped on the gusher while wondering why this particular gusher was so hard.     The next day I went to the dentist and he put a temporary crown on the tooth and decided to replace it with something more durable (this was the 2nd time this particular crown had come off).  The temporary

First transatlantic flight

We live in the SouthEastern US.  We have flown out west a few times here and there and have driven to the midwest and even up to Canada once.   My 13 year old has been granted a wish from Make a Wish.  We are going to Italy in November.   I know airlines are cutting back, but what can I realistically expect as far as movies, meals, etc?  My youngest is 6, but will be 7 by then, so we will not be traveling with a wee bitty (thankfully)!  We drove down to Naples, FL in 2013 and it took 12 hours.

      Wishing I had a dollar for every time I burped on my back porch after dark and set off a neighbor's dog. The best part is that I'm sure everyone think it's my BF and not me, because it's surely not possible such a huge noise could come out of my body.
