Saw today on Facebook-- a friend is now an independent consultant for Ambit Energy.

Now this is just plain weird.  Yup, you develop a downline.  Pyramid scheme. 

On the Texas Electricity Ratings web site,  43% of Ambit's ratings are 1 star.  Lots of very unhappy customers.

A website called barenakedscams.com basically takes down Ambit:

To be honest, very few people would actually go through the fine print, all people care about is to save money, and as long as a Company can promise to save its consumers money, there will be demand for the service.

This is where most people got caught into the Ambit Energy scam.

Consumers of Ambit Energy were made to believe that when they engage their service, they will save a ton on their electrical and gas bill.

However, the opposite is true when the consumers actually received a skyrocketed bill due to the sudden rate hikes. This is the main reason that sparked the numerous complaints and class action lawsuits.
