I have to say Josh looks better than he has in years. That's not an apology for all the horrific things he has done in the past. I just hope he is somewhat doing fine for the sake of Anna and the kids. And I hope he gets a vasectomy ASAP!

The kids are really cute. I was really surprised to see Michael - he is so big! And such a handsome fella. And Mackynzie is Little Anna. Hopefully they are doing fine!

The article isn't wholly clear as to whether the ruling also applied to the ladies' case. Wouldn't the same statutes apply?

The article was terribly written, there are two cited in the general thread that say this was actually about the sister's case.  Josh's was dismissed for failure to state a claim.  I have not seen any of the actual orders though, so just repeating what they said.

I linked to a clearer article in the main Duggar threads. Judge ruled that all the charges against Bauer Media in BOTH cases (Josh’s case and the sister’s case) were being dismissed without prejudice. They successfully argued for dismissal based off a case in Florida and the Judge cited the first amendment.

I truly think that little girls are a little bit more lucky in what is accepted, at least in my circle. 

Little girls are welcome to all the toys, trucks, bugs, mud, and all the colours.  Where as with the little boys I know of are much more restricted.  I have seen so many parents freak out...actually freak out when their little guys grab one of my kids dolls, necklaces, dress up.  One time it was a pink stuffed octopus.  Not pink!  Gasp.

What surprises me the most is that it that these are friends kids, friends I have grown up with.  Not religious, very accepting of everything, open...but with their kids there seems to be such a bias.

 I am horrified every time I see it happen.  I am a shit stirrer.  One little guy wanted so bad to play with our my little ponies, I sent him home with one.  One wanted to paint his nails, I bought him piggy paint (it comes off in like two baths).  I have hunted out pink polo shirts for gifts ( so many guys look so good in the dreaded pink).

My atheist/Buddhist/Daoist students in China were super into Christmas. There are even China-specific Christmas traditions practiced by everyone, not just Chinese Christians who celebrate it anyway. Hell, I'm Jewish and I celebrate Christmukkah because Christmas is awesome and my family has a lot of intermarriages. These days, it's pretty much a secular/cultural holiday with a religious element for those who care about that.

If people say "Merry Christmas" to me, I'm not bothered (I'd rather reserve my indignation for the basement dwellers with tiki torches proclaiming their hatred for me, black people, immigrants, and just about everyone who doesn't look like their pathetic pasty asses); I'd only be bothered if it was said with the intention of belittling other observances/holidays. If that's the case, I just grin and say "Happy Hanukkah".

A few years ago we had this same argument, Merry Christmas vs Happy Holidays. I thought they'd decided that Merry Christmas was Ok again. (Whoever 'they' are). So 45 saying that we're going to start saying Merry Christmas again is rather late. Don't understand why his audience cheered. I think it might have been Bill O'Reilly who started it. And what a peach he turned out to be. Anyway, if you say Merry Christmas, or Happy Holidays, or Happy Hanukkah, I won't be offended.

They'd both be of age now. The youngest one was 11 at Anna's baby shower with Mack, so he'd now be 19. No word on them except that they weren't in the "surprise" crowd for Mother's Day. Or were they? My guess is they're trying to stay away from public social media to give us nothing to talk about.

Nathan is 21 (birthday in April) and David is 19 (birthday in July). Old enough to court and marry in fundie land.

I saw a picture recently of Anna's little brothers (sorry I can't remember where). They were still dressed alike....... must not have saved enough money to support a wife yet if that's still happening.
