Ok so I really really want to know if Hot John is courting/engaged. I will admit I think he is the most attractive fundie on FJ and it makes me embarrassingly curious as to who the girl may be. How hard it must be for a fundie girl to resist Hot John while knowing that if she gives in and decides to court, she will have to live in Maxhell until the day Steve dies. What a decision.

And why did Hot John give up real estate? According to Trulia he has no homes listed: https://www.trulia.com/profile/john-maxwell-agent-overland-park-ks-zgn0gw17/overview

I have to admit, although my cat is a slothful heathen, he does appreciate a daily schedule. He believes his humans should get up & go to bed at rigid times, and strangers should never ring the doorbell. He's not a glutton, either. He might be OK with Maxhell. Although he would prefer a home with plenty of naps being taken by the humans, and I doubt the Maxwells allow that.

Every cat I've had lived with has been a glutton for refried beans (slattern that I am, I used canned ones, so I think it's the sound of the can opener more than the actual beans they love) so they'd be fine with the Maxhell burrito diet. But you really do not want your cats to eat refried beans, canned or otherwise, unless you're prepared to wear a respirator for the next 24 hours or so.

It's hard to get listings when you don't know anyone outside of your immediate family and they don't know anyone either. It's not as if the nursing home is a great warm market for listings. Most of the residents have already sold their homes.

The books are thinly veiled biographies of Terified and Stevehovah.

I wonder what Second To God Steve thinks about that. Maybe that's one of the reasons why there haven't been any new books.

Probably their home life has to suck so bad that moving into Maxhell would be an improvement. Does anyone know about the upbringing of the married Mrs. Maxwells? (can't forget that they're owned by their husbands!)

I think he and the entire family are so clueless that they all think Dad Moody/Stevehovah are being portrayed in a positive light. Remember Sarah gushingly telling us how Stevehovah "makes friends wherever he goes"? She can't tell the difference between true friendship and buying into the cult.

Melanie seems to be from a religious family in Kansas. She has sisters who wear pants.

NR Anna is originally from Washington state. She came from a fundie-seeming family who kept goats. NR Anna made soap out of goat milk.

Elissa's family was more like Melanie's I think. She was from Kentucky IIRC.

I believe Elissa was also active in 4-H -- she got to interact with kids outside her home or (gasp!) church! They might even have not been the right kind of Christians!

RE John's house. John could already be living there as a single guy, but Stevie does not want the Maxhell brand being tarnished so of course it would not be reported on the blog. That could explain his noted absence. But then again he could be spending time renovating it and I guess we will not see pics of that after the stick we gave Joe on his beige house and not including Liz on the interior design.

Stevie - that picture in the fire safety post is very defrauding of Mr Cody's helpmeet. We know from before you have a boob fetish, but please keep your porn pictures to yourself.

What up with the "Guest Blogger" Steve-o?  I 100% support having a fire escape plan in place, but I didn't know Lord Steve-o allowed guests to blog on Tits2. Maybe we should be concerned about Steve? Have the kidults revolted and locked him in the prayer closet?

Oh, well done!!  Excellent sleuthing.

Let the countdown begin to John's wedding.  :laughing-rollingred:

Although I'll be a little annoyed if John marries before Jesse.  It would imply Sarah was trying to put us off the track  with all that stuff about special time with Jesse.

First time posting, but I've been following FJ for years. Former fundie.

Is there any chance that John is pre-courting or full on courting one of the Bontrager girls?  Allison in particular?  I believe the Bontrager family is too wordly for Steve, and the sisters work, and wear jeans in the garden, and they also belong to a church, and the young adults group at their church, and the entire family is active in the church.  I don't think the girls are quietly submissive enough for Steve, but if John is branching out on his own, to some extent, maybe he is interested in one of them.  It's a stretch given how active and involved the sisters are in the farm, the hotel, visiting friends and family all the time, and having to settle down to complete scheduled boredom might not work for them.

@BearMom, :text-welcomewave:to Free Jinger.

Now you have broken the ice please post often.  Former Fundie info is always appreciated.

I don't know. The Bontragers do seem much too worldly for a Maxwell - but Stevo is OK with attending their weddings.  I'm torn between Allison and Chelsy as potential matches for John or Jesse.  But perhaps JD Duggar will grab one of them from the teeth of a Maxwell courtship.

It's like watching these young women dodge bullets.  Their lives may be better as single women.

Truth be told, I don't think any of the above males are very good husband material.

Good find, @Bethella!

I've no doubt now that John is either courting, or actively looking for someone to court.

Buying a house was the precursor to courting for the three older brothers.

Wow, another brother moving 7/10 of a mile from his parents' home!  Those younger Maxwell bros are really breaking away!  Maybe Jesse will go an entire mile?  Could happen.

I just can't with these robots anymore.

When I had two dogs and worked full time outside their house, they still got a minimum of 2-30 minute walks a day, usually 3. Once before work, once after work and once before bed. Plus they were outside running and playing whenever they went to the door and wanted out and if they didn't want to come in I didn't make them.

Basically, my dogs lived normal lives while hers lives a Maxwell life.

And, John owns a house? That means, without a doubt, that he is courting. He would never be allowed to buy a home if it weren't to become the headship of some poor woman.

Can't wait to see their spin on it all when it comes out.

Ha, more Maxwell twisting and turning and ignoring of reality.

Our dear little Maltese can clear out the house just by eating canned dog food.  Lucky for me, he usually plants himself by Grampwych.

I can't imagine Steve being ok with the Bontrager girls WORKING. Allison LIVES in the Inn! And manages it! Steve probably fainted at the thought. They all did attend the recent triple wedding weekend and I'm almost positive john was an usher for Mitchell's wedding. I think he and Mitchell are friends and if he visits, then it's for Mitchell. But hey, he could get to know one of the girls on a visit.

I think the renovations are more likely. When I did a general white pages look up he's not listed at his house.

A Maltese?  :romance-inlove:

I have greyhounds (and grey relations.)  Their 60lb plus farts can peel paint.  We are VERY careful about what we feed.  And Sarah's dehydrated liver treats (see her Affiliate Link) for Ellie were prime offenders when we were newbies at doggie gaseous emissions.

I have a feeling that Maxwell people farts will also peel paint - because looking at their diets - Holy shmooley!

They FART!  Consuming multiple bean burritos = farts.  Invariably.

But farting is undoubtedly sinful and ungodly.

So, the Maxwells must be practically jet propelled into the prayer closet!:laughing-rollingred:

If you fart in the prayer closet and no one hears it.... did it really happen?

Wait, God Steve heard it.... unless it was a silent but deadly fart. Mwhahahaha

No, they live streamed the video of the wedding and now it's gone. In the double wedding on Friday, John did sit with the Maxwell family. He and Jesse were not sitting with the family at first. They started live streaming like 15 minutes before the wedding actually started. I did not see where Johm and Jesse were before they joined the other Maxwells in he pew.

The next day was the single wedding for Mitchell. He's closest in age to John out of all the Bontrager boys. They again started the live stream about 15 minutes before the wedding. So a guy that looked just like hot John was showing people to their seats. He wasn't dressed in a matching suit to the wedding party. But he seemed to be the main person ushering everyone to their seats.

BTW, Farting in a small enclosed space like a prayer closet seems like an even greater punishment now. Maybe that's why they are always going on hikes and walks as a family. It works out all the Maxwell farts into the open air. I just would want to be up front.

You inspired me to go digging and...... John Maxwell OWNS A HOUSE!!!! It's two blocks from Joseph and Elissa and 0.7 miles from the main house. It appears that he purchased it sometime since the 2016 taxes were paid but I couldn't find an exact date.

Jesse does not own a house but there are 4 properties owned by the Maxwell Family Trust (2 residential, 1 commercial/industrial and 1 vacant).

I'm reading the thread backwards and just saw this.  I just looked it up before I even saw your post.  What house did you find?  The only John Maxwell homeowner in Leavenworth owns the house that I just linked to, and that was bought in July of this year.
