Lori Alexander 16: Protecting Men's Jobs from the Assaults of Women

Last thread here:

Thread title is a paraphrase of a comment she made on her blog recently (thanks @Koala!) Lori is even more obsessed with the roles of men and women staying separate, and there was some discussion of Christian Domestic Discipline, because one of her male readers (thought she wasn't suppsed to teach men...hmmm) seems very into that. If you go googling that, take this with you: :brainbleach:

How wacky is Lori going to get? Who knows; let's find out!

Waaaaaiiiiiit a minute. Lori is a WOMAN. How is she supposed to PROTECT anything? That is a MAN'S job. It is in their DNA, right next to their inability to do housework.

I mean, come on, people.

Lori, you whore of Babylon, you aren't supposed to be protecting anything! Get back in the kitchen and make Ken a big salad!

No, cook him a meal, for once, and then scrub that kitchen till it's spotless. You know he wants a cleaner  house.

Funny how this topic comes up with Lori so often.  It's not like she's done this with horrendous results twice before.  <---scathing sarcasm

You know what would be honest?  If she said:

"Weight matters to me more than the physical or mental well being of the person.  I have practiced this before, and the results were extremely damaging, but worth it. I always get my way, not matter what it costs the people around me.  You can get over the scars of an eating disorder, but nothing compares to the horror of having men thinking you're "carrying an extra 5lbs. on bottom."

That would be honest.

Side note: Lori had a believer "admonish" her recently, and when she couldn't answer for herself, she told them that she didn't need them to admonish her, because she had people in her life that she allowed to do that.

So much for nothing being off limits when another believer is "exhorting you".

From yesterday's post:

Taylor says:

Quote

I wouldn’t advise her to divorce, but she absolutely must never get out of the car on the interstate again. She’s putting herself and her baby in danger by complying with that.

Lori answers:

Quote

I agree, Taylor, and she shouldn’t live with him again until he deals with and repents of his anger. I would also encourage her to become a godly woman as 1 Peter 3:1-6 describes.

Oh Lori....

AnonM feels things are getting off track here, I mean, this woman must be doing something wrong!

Quote

But, staying in the car may cause him to get more angry too. She cant control this, but maybe an action plan should be in place so if it happens again, she can get somewhere safe quickly. The other question is, what cause him to become angry in the first place? Can it be avoided? Can she talk to him when he is calm about the situation and work something out? Too many questions come to mind with that one.

She could teleport!  Problem solved!

Oh my god, I just can't with these people.  They are blaming this woman for her husband dropping her and an infant on the side of the interstate, and then advising her to do the impossible.

I hate, hate, hate to call names, but what a bunch of idiots.

I'm carrying more than 5 lbs. on bottom. I have a HUGE rumpus. And my husband? He loves it.

Lori, you svelte and dainty little thing, it's nice that you are naturally slim and are committed to stay that way. Not all of us are naturally slim, and some of us don't care about staying slim. And guess what? Our partners don't necessarily care, either. And sometimes weight has nothing to do with gluttony. Shocker, right? Enjoy and take care of your body no matter what you've got -- fat, slim, curvy, straight, healthy, not so healthy. Don't you believe we're all made in the image of God?

You're reminding me of being a little defrauded by all the Hot Jesus at my church growing up.

All of Ben's visitor posts  about wife spanking (on Lori's FB) have been deleted.  Gotta hide the evidence,  right?  Funny how Ken took so much time answering, just to delete it all.  After all, never let it be said that the Alexanders interfered with a man's "Christian liberty" to spank his wife.  As long he he passes Ken's "test", that is.

Seriously though, Lori likes to gossip about the giant mess that her housekeeper found at the neighbor's house.  You know what would make for some really good gossip, though?  The conversations Ken and Lori's fellow church members, "friends", and extended family have about them.  We already know for sure that the church doesn't want them spreading Lori's "message" on their grounds.  We already know that the aunts like to put Queen Lori in her place.  Can you imagine what we don't hear?

Lori's latest doodle makes me want to inhale an entire chocolate layer cake with chocolate frosting out of spite.  Good thing there's none in the vicinity...

I'll admit to have said the selfish prayer of someone from their community to come and dish. God doesn't seem to want to answer that one. I'd especially like to hear from the mother of ALyssa's friend who Lori trashed on the blog.

So from today's post:

Quote

Men are now required to do a lot of housework which isn’t their natural tendency. God has given women this role. Women will never make better men than men, and men will never make better women than women no matter how hard they try.

Um....I was unaware of that marriage contracts now stipulate that husbands must do certain household tasks. From all of the marriages I've observed, men usually volunteer to do tasks around the house as a way to serve their wives and families, or because the wife asks him to for whatever reason, not because there's some sort of figurative gun being held to his head.

Also:

Quote

I am sure the happiest men are those who have married good, hard-working women who take good care of them, their children, and their homes so they can do what they have been called to do, namely provide. They can be singularly focused on this instead of having to help get the children ready in the morning, drop them off at preschool, and do other things that are home-oriented and should fall to the woman of the home. Their lives become so much more stressful than they already are and women don’t seem to mind at all. At least they think they don’t, unless they ponder their lives for a bit and see how much more stressful their own lives have become as well as their children’s.

Please show me a good dad who wouldn't want to spend more time with his children if given the opportunity, or would not consider taking care of his children's needs as one of his responsibilities. My dad has worked full-time almost my entire life, yet he made our lunches every morning in addition to his own before leaving for work, so that my mom would have enough time to get all three of us kids up, dressed, breakfast eaten, and out the door in time for school.  I highly doubt he felt doing that was a burden or that it should automatically fall under my mom to do. I am thankful that my dad has modeled what the sacrificial love of Christ looks like as a husband and father (albeit imperfectly), instead of believing what Lori & co. think a husband or marriage should be. I think I need to go hug my dad now.

Whatever, Lori.

I'm in the process of losing 90lbs, and while it sucks, it will come off if I want it to.

Losing weight is hard, but you know what's harder than going from fat to fit? Changing yourself into a decent human when you're currently the queen giant squid of  Sanctimonious Bitch Lake.

I wont be fat by Christmas, but you'll still be a waste of carbon.

You can do it!! And that reminds me of a saying on one of my grandpa's hat's- "I may be fat, but you're stupid, and I can diet."

My son-in-law is on his way to a Comicon with my granddaughter as I type. The tickets were his birthday present from my daughter. Father and daughter love spending time together playing games, cooking, or working on projects. And may I point out that SIL, unlike Ken, is also a combat veteran and all around manly, fix-everything-around-the-house guy. Life is a lot more fun outside the fundy box.

I'm not sure what Lori is implying about men who help out with childcare in the mornings. Would she tell the military fathers at my DD's bus stop that they aren't doing it right? Hmm, methinks that she hides behind her computer and Ken.

Also, I am no religious studies scholar, but I thought that discussions of gluttony in the Christian bible had less to do with the waistline, but more to do with one's desire for material things.

Lori is way too obsessed with appearances (especially hers).

She needs to worry about what is on the inside, since her nastiness has created an incredibly ugly person.  She is more worried about the superficiality of her outside life than the things that make a person truly beautiful and wonderful, like kindness and compassion.

I'm obviously a man since housework isn't my natural tendency..

Mr wrangler was much better at it than me.

Does anybody else think that Lori considers an overweight woman to be more of a sinner than a porn-addicted man?

After all, gluttony (let's be honest, she really means ALL fat women) is a sin but viewing porn?  Eh...even most Christian men do it a few times a month.*

*according to Ken, that is.

Agree @usmcmom, Lori thinks being an overweight woman worse than porn. My mother is the same.  She equates being overweight with being unhappy and lazy.  Every time I see my mother, she's talking about how she needs to lose 5 pounds.  She is 5 feet tall and wears a size 4. But my mother is very insecure and always looking for validation. Perhaps Lori, deep down, is like my mother.
