She reminds me of Victoria Jackson ( from SNL and one of my fav XFiles episodes).

Coincidentally, she's also a right-wing looney toon.

Or some of Randall Flagg's followers.  I definitely get a Stephen King vibe.

Imagine Jill R., Kellyanne Conway, and this one sitting down for lunch and a discussion on how to make the world a better place...

I'll never sleep again if I do.

She and Nate should NOT sing. Ever. Just not.

They make the Ridriguii sound good.

Nate is labelled as Pastor on one of the videos? This pair would scare little children and old folks. Even the cute Cats would run a mile.

so on the blog, if you click on her false religions section - the text is BLINDING. on the catholicism one she switches from the offensive highlighter green on a white background to the completely illegible highlighter yellow on  white background - what a clown. i hope no one takes her seriously (and with that web design, i'm not too worried).

She uses quotes from the Bible to discredit the other religions...that's not how it works Alyssa. Can you imagine if the Bible had a passage that said, well all of this is great, but Hinduism is the true religion.

Holy God, look at her eyes. She looks evil. Like she's possessed by the same kind of demon currently inhabiting the form of Mike Pence.

No, seriously. I wouldn't go near her. She looks like she'd lure you down to her basement and you'd never emerge again. Months later they'd find some of your bones hanging off an overpass in Flint and your mummified head hidden in a alcove of the tunnel under the Detroit River. No thanks.

Yikes! You put it so much more graphically... My only thought was that I drew back from clicking on the video because the picture of her makes me think of a Bob Larson "before the exorcism" photo.

I'm watching a film called a sisters nightmare. Alyssa looks like an actress called Natasha Henstridge who is playing a baddy. Same spooky eyes.

Turns out she is. Goody!

Same spooky eyes though.

I think I realized why she freaks me out so much. She looks a lot like Karla Homolka.

Karla Homolka's brows were on fleek compared to Alyssa Carone's, though.

(I can't even discuss her religious or political sentiments. Too cray for me.)

Actually she looks rather like Charlene Gallegos to me. Sorry, not posting her picture as I will have nightmares. I went to school in Nevada with one of the Gallegos victims.

Just back from googling her. You are right, the resemblance is uncanny.

My goodness, compared to this woman, Jill Rodrigues is an exhibit in make up restraint and subtlety.

Wow. Another vile piece of work. It is adorable how she refers to one of her children as 'handicapped' and 'disabled' every time she mentions him.  But, hey, they are winning the souls of the Dearborn Muslims, so yay for that. I watched part of her informative video comparing Christianity and Islam.  Biggest takeaways are that Christianity is correct and Islam claims things that are unverifiable!

Everytime someone (Jill Rodrigues, I'm looking at you) says that they know Christianism is the true religion "because the Bible says so", my mind just explodes. Do they realise how stupid it makes them sound?

I tried to listen to this woman's rubbish, but I feel like a need a shower every few sentences.

Does she not realize that if you need antibiotics, no amount of lemon tea or whatever is gonna help? There was a reason tons of people died before antibiotics were invented. There is a difference between a virus and a bacteria. This is middle or high school science stuff! URG. She hasn't even gotten into what I assume is a "love" filled hatespeech and I'm already pissed off at her.

Alyssa Carone! OMG.

I regret that I'm not going to be able to provide links for all this stuff, I'm going off memory of a series of Facebook discussions that occurred over a year ago.

This is her second marriage. She had four children in her first marriage and lost custody to her ex-husband. The ex showed up to the FB page and posted his observations. One of the things I remember is the kids from marriage #1 were freaked out about going with Alyssa for visitation because they (a) were having to stay in a skeevy motel and (b) Alyssa was taking them evangelizing. You know, door to door.

If memory serves, she met Nathan Carone when she went to a PP evangelizing "event" in Dearborn. I believe the falling-out with PP is over the fact that she is divorced and remarried to Nathan (and Nathan might be is -has 2 kids-as well). This is why she's sympathetic to the divorced and remarried Kent Hovind, who PP is also attacking for remarrying.

As for Nathan Carone, I think this article from 2009 says volumes.

Quote

Lone protester berates customers as Hustler Club opens in Lincoln Park; Others film license plates

The News-Herald reports 33-year-old Nathan Carone shouted "pervert" at customers entering the $7-million topless club at John A. Papalas and Outer Drive.

"Call me crazy, call me what you will.  Somebody has to deal with this perversion in our city," Carone shouted in front of Fox 2 cameras.  "I pray to God this place gets shut down."

Carone, who said he expected a large protest and was disappointed by the turnout, later was joined by two clergy men who offered a quieter critique.

I did a bit of digging and was able to track down this Guardian Ad Litem report for the child custody issues from Alyssa's first marriage. It's 14 pages, but I think some of you may find it interesting/revealing as to some of Alyssa's motivations.

This is a horrible woman, and I think there is some mental illness going on there.  I pity the poor kids from her first marriage who have to visit her, but I fear for the baby born of her second marriage.

Wow, I just watched the first video in the post and I have to go to work and I can't fall down the rabbit hole further until later.

WOW

No one with makeup that bad should be giving anyone advice on ANYTHING. Also, does she think "Muslim" is a country? She keeps talking about Islam and Muslim as a country where people are leaving and have to follow Islam. It's really funny that her whole argument boils down to "you can't cherry pick the bible" when thats all Christians do. And she is so xenophobic she can't even deal with people calling Jesus anything other than Jesus even if it means Jesus in another language. And her comments about looking at Rabbi's facebook pages and seeing porn. Like bitch where?

I just read her "How I got saved" article, and wow, what a lost person.

She and her husband watched THREE creation science videos and that's all it took to convince them that evolution wasn't real.  Talk about being easily led!!

She appears to be petrified of death, and Christianity offers the most pleasant "after death" ending.

I think a very common trend with these type of fanatics is the feeling of being unhappy, helpless and lost and seeing Christianity as a way to feel superior or special in some way.  They have no discernible skills in anything else (be it parenting, professional or intellectual) so this is what they choose.  It's easy.  You find a few bible verses that you can throw at other people and then talk about how you are above this particular sin and therefore better than everyone else (sound like EVERYONE ELSE???).

Becoming a success at something real takes hard work and effort, and man, that's just too hard.

It's also very convenient to blame your wrongdoings on the devil.  There is just no personal responsibility.

I truly hope that a day doesn't come that the bible is proved, unarguable false.  Because there are a whole lot of Christians out there whose desires to murder, rape and pillage are only being held back by the bible's "don't do that" rules. Scary stuff.

ps.  She had her first kid out of wedlock, and I'm pretty sure that puts her in the "unforgivable whore" group of people according to the Law of Anderson.
