Most things look nice if well groomed. And Whitney is very well groomed. Never a hair out of place, nails always done, make up always on. IMO it makes a huge difference. How she finds the time with 2 really young kids, that puzzles me. I can't even bother to brush my hair some mornings. 

Don't forget we're only seeing her well groomed when she decides to post it. There are likely many mornings when she can't brush her hair, or puts on two left shoes, or doesn't change out of her pajamas the whole day. I'm sure some of the pictures she posts looking very well groomed are just normal days and not photoshoot days. To all the mommy's out there, or even people like me that just work full time and just feel too tired to try everyday, don't stress about not looking as groomed as what Whit posts! It isn't real life.

As far as the debt question remember the new furniture brought to them courtesy Rent a Center. I remember the discussion unfolding about how it didn't comport with their stated beliefs. Something tells me these certain fundie families have credit card while putting on a public face of being debt free.

Whitney is one of those women whose body has not changed after having children, yes, she is young but jessa, anna and jill also and they are more changed, jill and anna especially.

The last time they talked about the house, not that long ago, they were still renting. Like Chad and Erin, they've made many improvements to the place, but haven't mentioned renting to own or buying the place outright. I could see them trying though. It looks like a decent sized place that would hold them even with a couple more kids. Chad and Erin? I think that their little cottage is only two bedrooms. I don't think they can squeeze another baby in that place. Two cribs, a child bed and changing station in one of those tiny rooms? Dresser? Closet space for three kids? I think they're going to have to go house hunting when (I wish if, but we know better) she is pregnant again.

This might be a smidge of a thread drift but I started following Whitney on Insta.  Then I felt like I needed to follow  Jessa, Kristen the Tacos 4 Life girl, and Sierra. (Lord help me.) 

During all that following, I somehow got invited to follow a girl from OBU - Katie Greenwood. If you want to see a fundie drop some serious $$$$  on her closet, check out her Insta: katiegreenwoodscloset. I believe it is public. (Since we are on the topic of trendy fundie fashion and enviable closets, I think this is still kinda on topic.)

Her wedding was insane too. It appears she got married in the glass chapel (?) all of them go so crazy over. $25,000-$50,000 wedding budget. (!) http://southernweddings.com/2014/10/22/pink-sparkly-arkansas-wedding-by-the-nolans/

Some of these fundie families... I'm dying to know what they do for a living. I know next to nothing about her other than she rolls in some of the church circles. Maybe someone else has already discovered her.

Regarding the Rent a Center couch, I remember there was an advert for them immediately following that segment of the show. I wouldn't be surprised if they really got the couch for free from them just for the publicity.

Regarding Whitney's post-baby body bounce back, I think she truly works a lot harder than Jill, Jessa, or Sierra do to make that happen. Whitney has posted her exercise routine, and I'm sure she dresses appropriately for a more intense work out since she is less concerned with modesty. I know we've seen Jessa "weight train" in flip flops, and we saw Jill run that one time in a long baggy skirt (before stopping to watch Derick vomit everywhere). It is my intuition that those girls really don't have a consistent, more intense workout routine.

Not sure if I have to say I shortened the quote, but I did! Joining you on the thread drift @Joyfully Available. How can someone give a range that large? I would be absolutely sure of that extra possible $25000, but since they both were still in school, my guess is the parents probably helped out a lot so that's how they didn't know the actual budget. But wow, how DO fundies afford everything?

The weird things I know from either this site or my 17+ year fascination with Big Brother - She's got 201k instagram followers.  Add that to whatever the Twitter following is and that puts her in a category to where she's going to get freebies and asked to talk about things due to product placement.  

Also any time there is a photo shoot they're probably allowed to keep the wardrobe.  One of the bonuses of the people magazine and UP network shoots.

Thread drifty, I know....but this one thing keeps getting my goat. I don't recall flip flops but she did weight lift in flats and everybody jumped on her for it. Actually this is the one workout thing where shoes are not required. Most real weight lifters will either lift in bare feet or wear shoes intended for weightlifting that have an intentionally flat, non-cushiony sole. There's plenty of reasons to snark on her, but this is explicitly not one of them.

You're correct - the Websters did a photo shoot for their second pregnancy announcement. Zachney did it once before with Bradley's first birthday photos as well. They released photos for his birthday and then released the ones revealing the pregnancy a few weeks later. So it's possible she's pregnant again or it's possible they just really like taking family photos.

yep. i thought the same thing when i saw on taryn's instagram they'd be releasing the shoot soon. i thought "there's gotta be an announcement in there!" but when there wasn't, it didn't squash my thoughts.

I want to post their relationship story because it is such a direct contrast from the fundie ones we see.

"Evan and I were both transfers to Ouachita Baptist University in fall 2011. On the day before classes, Evan and his roommate walked into the cafeteria and saw my friend and me walking towards them. So, they met at college (a Baptist University but still... ) She had a serious boyfriend that she broke up with (and wasn't so heart broken as to never speak of him again.) They went on a one off date.  And later to a dance that she only wanted to attend since her friends were going.  Oh, and her friends also date like the rest of us heathens.  She may be Christian Conservative but she's not fundie.  Her wedding was beautiful and the bridesmaids dresses were appropriate and showed some shoulders!!  She even had a real reception!

@JMO I think she is more in the Tacos 4 Life girl / Kristen's circle. That crew seems to be much more main stream or fundie light? They believe in college and dating but I'm sure the core values are very similar when you get down to it. I'm honestly still trying to figure out what the main differences between a conservative Christian and a fundie really are. I definitely find the different degrees of conservative Christians interesting. Especially interesting when they all mingle together.

I could see Whitney being more like this OBU girl than the family she married into and I fee like she's trying to veer more that direction. Dresses cute and shows knee caps but loves Jesus.

To me one of the HUGE differences between conservative christians and fundies is their stance towards education. There are a lot of conservatives that homeschool their kids and probably brainwash them too, but are still not totally anti-education or college and higher education isn't only available for their male offspring. I know - there are also fundie families that send their kids to college, but most of these facilities are like Clown College and not totally accredited or aren't accredited at all.
