Why did Jinger spend the night at Jill’s? And was there no chaperone during their devotion (other than TLC of course)?

Jill and Anna looked pregnant!

What is Jinger’s expression during the ceremony? She doesn’t look happy and I have never seen that expression on her before… What is it?

I thought it was weird that Jinger spent the night there, too.  Is that the same little bathroom baby house, or has Jim Blob finally given them a larger one?  It made me hinky that they were together on their wedding day, but I am superstitious heathen , what do I know?  *knocks on wood*

I have thought both Jill and Anna's waistlines have been thickening for a while, but I guess it is hard to compete with a wedding and Jessa...maybe they are saving those announcements for later

I was alarmed at Jinger's expression at first, but I think she was trying not to cry...I felt a bit of embarrassment at this stage, such intimate stuff in front of an audience, maybe some of that was going on

I turned on the show at the very end, just in time to see derrick run out and dip Jill. Boundaries, Please. It wasn't cute then, it's really annoying now, stop it! I also wanted to see who was courting next, of course it's Joy, should have known since every wedding picture she is in shows that cell phone glued to her hand. And since we've seen the dresses, cake, shoes and other wedding stuff, I am not going to watch them travel back in time to plan this wedding we just saw.

This.

Thinking about a Joy courtship is depressing enough, but when you think about the logistics inevitable breeding, it only gets worse. RIP Tomboy Joy. :tw_dissapointed_relieved:Another one lost to Gothardism.

The fact that they'll be showing Jinger's wedding stuff AFTER the wedding aired is ridiculous. In any other show (where actual interesting things happen), they could's done a 1hr special all about wedding planning, and THEN shown the wedding the following week. If content were juice crystals and recaps were water, this show would run clear and taste like a hint of aspertame (poisonous fake sweetness- totally appropriate). Too bad that's not the case for the Flavorade this family and their leg humpers have ingested,

Maybe she'll have a bunch of sons and can be rough and tumble with them and have it still be "acceptable" to be a tomboy?

In the "after the show" sit down episode he dipped and kissed her as well. Its really juvenile and looks awkward.  Grow the fuck up - no one needs to see you making a show out of kissing your wife.

He has learned this behavior from disgusting Jim Bob, I'm sure. So nasty.

Many, MANY women's bodies never go back to "normal" after having children. It's highly possible they just naturally carry extra weight in their midsections now. Who knows.

Yup, it absolutely could be that, happens a lot...but these are Duggar women, pregnancy is the first thing one suspects (at least I did :my_blush:)

After watching the last episode, I don't know about Joy courting. She never seemed that one to be courting earlier than the other girls because it was said that they would wait until they are 21 to court to possibly follow after Anna's decision, maybe.

I don't know.

Parenthetical, someone jinx the whole freejinger will crash thing. ha just saying

I am watching the wedding episode now....here are my thoughts....sorry...they are long and pointless...

Jinger and Jeremy are alone, reading the bible. I mean, I know they aren't really alone because of the TLC crew. But I do wonder if they did things without chaperones before they were married. I think Jeremy being a bit older and "worldly"...maybe he realized they don't need a chaperone to keep themselves from crossing any lines they set for themselves.

Wendy the coordinator seems familiar. Wasn't she a part of Jessa or Jill's wedding planning?

Michelle - "It seems very surreal" Blah blah blah. I am pretty sure this is almost word for word what she said in the other wedding episodes. It's like she's reading a script.

I didn't realize Cindy was a wedding planner. I wonder why she didn't help at the other Duggar weddings.

I haven't paid much attention this season. Did they talk about their "courtship rules" and how they front hug?

"We have 4 children married....3 daughters, 1 son. So giving another daughter away is really hard."  The way she worded this makes it sound like it's 4 plus Jinger. Michelle always seems high to me.

As someone who has always had straight hair....I have to say that curling one's hair looks like a big pain in the ass. I'm glad I have never had interest in hair.

I am so freaking confused about this Josie segment. Why is the NICU nurse here? What does this have to do with anything? And why does Josie have a leafy crown?? Is this something that people do at wedding? We didn't have a flower girl. And why is Michelle talking to Josie like she's a toddler???  So...many...questions.

I think it's weird to wear socks without washing them first. "Who needs a shirt?"  I can't decide if this is fabricated drama or if they are really this unprepared. Jeremy is just trying to hand out shirts/jackets to random people. Um...pretty sure they don't all wear the same size.

John David acts so awkward while they are taking photos. It's kind of funny. The one wedding episode I would really love to watch would be a John. And really the courting/wedding planning would probably be pretty entertaining too. John and Jeremy talking about the pet hair....so weird. They both seem genuinely annoyed with one another.

I wonder how many times Jill mentioned her own wedding that day. We've seen it twice so far. I bet there were many other times that didn't make the cut. These poor girls...it's like all they have to cling to is this one day. So sad.

I did like when JB said "I don't wanna mess up your makeup...or mine!"

The groomsmen are standing around and one guy looked like he was doing "fat guy in a little coat" from Tommy Boy.

I see the camera guy made sure to show at least one non-white person in the crowd. Ha!

Is this a new trend with the bridesmaids walking down the aisle alone? And I see Ben is still confused about what to do with his arm when escorting someone. Ha!

I'm sorry but Josie's crown and earrings are so freaking ridiculous. Not digging Michael's hat either. Looks ill-fitting.

Jinger and JB walking down the aisle seems very awkward and fast. I don't know...something about it just seems off to me.

Add Jinger's train into the ridiculous category alongside  Josie's crown.

I hate how dark it is where Jinger, Jeremy, and Jeremy's dad are standing during the ceremony.

Who the heck nailed down the candles?! So freaking weird. Jinger looked a bit panicked for a second. I wonder if the people in the crowd could see what happened. I think their bodies blocked it. I am sure Jinger and Jeremy had a good laugh about it later. I wonder what they talked about while the song finished up.

That kiss was...weird. But I think most wedding kisses end up being weird. The kiss in the aisle looked better.

Derick...what a tool. Anna looked like she was afraid to touch her groomsman.

And that's that. Next season looks basically like a carbon copy of the Jessa/Jill planning seasons. Snooze.

I truly doubt Cindy is a wedding planner - if she is why was she not brought in before....Sierra.  What is Cindy's last name can't we look her up and ask her prices ?

Michelle is high - that's my determination

considering Anna's groosmen was named Josh that made laugh

I think it was fabricated dramas when Jeremy was freaking out about shirts and pants

I'm thinking it probably had more to do with JB and Michelle probably having a shit ton of people staying over at the TTH. I remember on my wedding day we had a ton of people over and at midnight my mother sent me to bed. But even in my room I could here the loud hubbub (we--as in a whole lot of blessed helpers---literally made everything ourselves for my wedding), and after a while I was just doing everything I could to tune out the noise so that I could get some sleep. I'm guessing that same might apply in this case.

I think the Duggar's needed someone to watch Josie while they finish preparing. For minute, I thought with all the focus turned on Josie I was wondering is she sick again. Why is her NICU nurse there? But, no. Just the babysitter for the day.

Yes, but why did we need to know that? Why not focus on Johannah being excited to be a bridesmaid or something? It just makes me mad how Josie gets all this attention and we never see the other little girls. Even when they did show Jenni passing notes, Jill had to point out that the idea was her own.

Did anyone else notice Josie trying to help with the train when her sisters were fixing it?

I did think it was interesting to see the difference in Josie since Jessa's wedding. She seemed to be taking her role as flower girl really seriously and did a great job. Considering how much she usually seems to be babied, I thought she was really grown up in this circumstance.

The incident with the candles was sweetly funny and I liked how they worked together to come up with a solution. Hopefully they can apply that to other problems in their daily lives.

I'm really glad Ben stuck with Johannah and escorted her to the end rather than abandoning her for Jessa. Derick running in was no less gross than when we've seen it before.

Jim Bob is dangerously good at seeming like a normal, loving father in this kind of episode - actually most of the times we've seen him in the last couple of seasons. They're really editing him (and possibly coaching him) into seeming like a normal, kind of goofy, sappy dad. You can almost forget the horrible life he's created for those girls. Too bad they can't do anything with Michelle, who seems more and more like her feelings are made of plastic.

This NICU nurse thing was too bizarre for me. Either they contacted a random nurse they knew, what, five years ago to watch a former patient (from the nurse's perspective) at a wedding, or they're now friends with this lady?

Also, unrelated, but at the "guest house" there was a sign on the wall that said "coffee and spiges." What does that even mean? I tried googling spiges but got nothing.

The thing is though that Jim Bob doesn't think he has created a horrible life for his girls.  I think he truly thinks he has done well by his children.  And, I have said this before, but I think he seems to know and respond to his kids more genuinely than Michelle does, or at least from what we see in the show.  He is a terrible actor as we have witnessed over the years, so I tend to believe his emotions that were shown on this episode were pretty genuine for him.  Michelle just seems blunted.  But with Joy now Courting, and still several littles in the house she should be looking a bit nervous.  Jana is good, but she is  not going to be able to do it all.  Michelle might have to start raising her kids again.

I was surprised at how Jeremy decided to kiss Jinger at the alter.  He knew this was her first kiss and I wonder why he didn't just go for a sweet pucker kiss.  At least he didn't dip her, but felt like it was a pretty aggressive kiss for a first kiss ever for the bride.  Did Jeremy's dad even say anything about it being the bride's first kiss?

It seemed pretty similar to my first kiss (I think-- I wasn't able to see mine LOL). Of course, mine was at the boy's house when we were alone watching Star Wars, not in front of 1000 people at our wedding...

Jinger seemed to really go for it, too. At least they kiss better than Ben and Jessa.

Derrick really gets on my ever loving nerves! That kiss was unnecessary, and the fact that he ran, stole Jill (like she was a flipping item) and then felt the need, no the UNCTION to kiss her just boils my blood. It reminds me of an experience I had at a wedding where the whole order had to be changed because a wife didn't want her husband to walk down with the brides friend because that wasn't "Decent and in order" (see 1 Corinthians 14:40). In an ironic turn of events that wife ended up divorcing that husband less than a year later in a horribly Nasty divorce. Derrick, for someone who feels the need to push your beliefs on everyone, know the flippin Bible and follow it, all of it, not just "Be fruitful and multiply"

Sorry y'all for the rant, it just grinds my gears

I finally watched. When they panned the audience the only famous fundie I saw were the Rodriguii. There were some I recognized from previous episodes but no Bateses/Paines/Keilans/etc. From pics we've seen we know Lawson , Carlin, Trace, and some of the younger boys were there as well as the Paines.  Have we seen proof of Kelly Jo and Gil?

Also, I loved that Joy was texting furiously on stage when they were organizing for pictures after the ceremony .  Hahaha. Derrick was an ass as previously mentioned and I thought that right after that when Anna walked down the aisle she kept staring down and looked a little upset .  I wouldn't blame her. I noticed Joshly was no where to be seen. I didn't see Jordyn either. I still don't know why only Jennifer and Jordyn were excluded from the wedding. I saw that the howlers got to be ushers.

I will say that Michelle looked the best she has had in years. I think she lost weight too.

Ugh, Derrick, what a boob. Really seems to treat his wife like property... We get it--you're soooo in love. There are ways to kiss your wife that respect her agency--whoops forgot who we were talking about. Of the Duggar clingers, Derrick irritates me the most at the moment. He's thoughtless, rude, and old enough to know better. Kinda a shame these people move right on to the next in line without any child having the spotlight to themselves. I wonder what Joy's mom (Jill) thinks about her courting? In the video Jessa and Ben posted they don't seem to enthralled with the idea.

I see so much of myself in Jinger (it helps that our birthdays are so close!) and I hope that she achieves what she wants to and does some good in the world (not Gothard "good", real good). We don't really know who she is so it'll be interesting seeing how she portrays herself in the future. The candle moment with JinJer was pretty cute & funny. I hope she comes into her own. Her little moment at the end of the ceremony was hilarious: "I cant wait to...*licks lips*" "be my wife" "...be your wife". Lol, girl, we all know what you were thinking. Get it!

Actually if you watch closely (I don't know if you want to do that lol), you can see that Jeremy did go for a sweet pucker kiss. Jinger is the one who opened her mouth, and he had to quickly adjust to match her.

ETA screenshot below of him with his mouth closed and her opening hers
