When I read that yesterday I gagged. Some of those coats reminded me of Dr Zhivago, a reminder of another failed revolution. Wonder what she will think when Melania rips off her real sable coat after he's signed in and her boobs are falling out all over the place? No modesty in that house. 

The post before it admonished her ladies to pray for the new president and his family. I commented that how could she endorse a serial adulterer and sexual predator who has nothing but contempt for those beneath him. She didn't publish it.... Hi Lydia!!!!!! Enjoy the next 4 years as he tramples on our first amendment freedoms and equal rights. And when they cut your medicare to bits, you can gnash your teeth with the rest of us. 

As soon as I get an extra $20 I'm sending a donation to PP in Mike Pence's name.

While most of us do not speak Slovenian, the third Mrs. Trump's reactions would surely not be hard to translate.    What horrid horrid outfits.  the fashion offerings remind me of my favorite cold war ad.

 Something tells me the fashion-forward Trump ladies are not going to go for these ideas.   

Seriously those things look like floor-length bathrobes -- an item of clothing that I am totally in favor of, but for sitting on the couch watching TV, not attending the presidential inauguration!

Totally unrelated to the clothing, but I searched out her blog and in the post about all the trucks, there's one identical to a truck we have sitting at the farm (the turquoise one, top of all the pictures).  My husband drove it to school in the 80s.  Made me laugh.

You just reminded me of a Shakespeare production we got on a video from the public library when we were fundie homeschoolers. It was a videotaped stage version of "Taming of the Shrew" (if I remember right). The costume designer had given all the men enormous codpieces.

I'm pretty sure it was this version.

I just googled that production of Taming of the shrew, and the costumes are hilarious. I wish I had been alive in the 70's, when it seems for a brief moment in history, the women remained clothed and the men were given scant and revealing costumes. Linky for an eyeful.

To me, this is simply an extreme example of how fundies have deluded themselves into thinking that the Trump's are "one of them" or at the very least sympathetic to their concerns. The Trumps continue to be the same vulgarians they always were in the White House. The term "modesty" in any sense of the word is completely foreign to this family. Melania is simply arm candy to Trump, and what's the point of having a shiny new "toy" if you can't show it off to the peasent?
