One for you Geechee Girl- obit for Vertamae Smart-Grosvenor

It might seem odd, but The Economist's obituary page is always a highlight of the week for me.  They're just stunningly well written.  I've never heard of Smart-Grosvenor, but I think I would have liked to have met her.

Thank you, @guitar_villain for thinking of me. I missed Miss Vertamae's passing. I hope she had an exuberant Homegoing. She really lived and had such a full life of adventures and experiences. I loved listening to her on NPR. We have lost a cultural legend, but her spirit lives on. She was a true kitchen witch by cooking with vibrations. My Granny used to tell me to perk my ears for the whispering, and I would know what was needed or when it was done. My next batch of red rice will be in her honor.
