It is not. Should have written that one down. :tw_grimace:

It's Milo!

I love Milo! I think the implication was that Ben picks the crazy and that Jessa would interject with quality "normal" names, every other kid.

If she doesn't have a hospital birth this time I'll be pretty mad.

Can I put in a suggestion of Cthulhu?

Almost spit out my coffee when I read this. That is very funny; maybe he could have a nickname like Lovecraft? (Although "Lovecraft" could be a euphemism for a weiner, & we all know that Fundies would never resort to such infantile words.  :: rolls eyes :: )

Oh good! I wasn't sure because my family hates it. Oh well, not their kiddo.

Yeah, to me this is the least attention grabby way to do it, in regards to Jinger. Jessa waited a bit after Jinger's engagement announcement, but if she'd kept not announcing everyone would have kept speculating about it, and if she waited until she was too big not to tell people, it would be right as Jinger was getting married and then she'd get shit for that.

Well, in a way Jessa is stealing Jinger's thunder. Part of the episode description also says that Benessa will discuss their "growing family." They didn't know before June! Was TLC not taping all spring? Certainly Jinger started courting long before they announced it (see: Jill). The Seewalds are probably talking adoption, since she can't fake being pregnant in scenes they shot before June. I seriously doubt they shot this entire season in a month's time.

Milo's not a bad name. They could then get a puppy & name it Otis. (Get it?)  ;)

And imagine breastfeeding. As soon as you get settled into position with the baby, the toddler takes that moment to do something dangerous. Kids seem to sense when you can't react quickly and do the darnedest things at that moment.

That makes me laugh because Erin Paine JUST posted this on IG - not all rainbows and sunshine, is it?  :pb_lol:

Ok that is funny! It happens.  Just be grateful he wasn't drinking from the toilet. My friends oldest did that when he was about 2, he was like what the dog does it.  We were both torn between hysterical laughter and throwing up.  That poor boy had to wash his face and hands like 3 times she brushed his teeth for nearly 10 minutes, gave him some watered down Listerine to "rinse" with, and then the poor kid had to have a bath. Then she wondered why he was so scared of the toilet after that.

I agree. I think it will be a breeze for her as long as she has a healthy baby. She literally has a lifetime of expierience.Sleep deprivation is awful, luckily Daddy is unemployed. It gets harder as they get a bit older.

This is just my opinion, but for me having four kids was a lot easier a few years ago. The only thing I don't want to go through again is sleep deprivation and the constant vigilance involved watching those littles.

Ben is a "student" now. I guess with Jessa's morning sickness and whatnot, Mama Carmen's is his only escape for quiet "study" time.

And Erin's kids are 15 months apart. The same as Jessa's soon to be kids. Everyone I know with kids that close in age had a complete blur of a first year after their second was born. It's just constant work and little sleep.

My boys are 27 months apart and I had a tough first year with them.  My older has always been high needs and my younger never slept, he still doesn't sleep! And over the winter when both of your young children are sick at the same time, you basically want to run away to a deserted island and never come back.

Spurg is easy. Jessa is going to be shocked by how hard it will be to find time to do her hair and make up every day. I think Jessa will be trimming off a few inches of that long ass mane, wearing hats, and using messy buns as her go to hair solutions for 2017. There's no way she can keep up with all that hair with two babies (and a man child) at home.

Michelle was 21 with Josh - she turned 22 about 6 months after he was born. They married when she was 17 and she took birth control for the first four years of their marriage. The first set of twins were born 4 or so months after she turned 23 and she had a miscarriage in that time frame too.

OMG. I'm 22 1/2 years old, a whole year older than Creepy M when she had Joshie. Now I know that many first time moms are much younger than 21, but still... I'm not even a proper adult yet, I can absolutely not imagine having kids at this point. Not to mention getting married at only 17...

I feel the same way & I am way older then 21. If I found the perfect person years ago I would feel completely different.

"Spurgeon is still pretty young, but I’m sure that as he continues to grow, I will find that I tend to do some things differently than my mom [Michelle Duggar] did. That’s the beauty of the individual family. No one is identical," she said at the time. "There will be variations with little things here and there, but I know that our foundational goals remain the same — to raise our kids to love God and be a blessing to others."

(From the US Weekly article linked earlier)

Please please please please please tell me this means she's not going to blanket train. PLEASE.

Imagine if they'd been QF right off the bat. She'd easily have had 4 more. 23 kids and counting...

Lol! I'm 28 and I'm having our first kid in January. I still don't feel like a proper adult. I actually turned to my husband at least once so far and said, "Wait... They're just going to let us take the kid and leave the Hospital?! No pop quiz?! No test?! Are they serious?! Who lets that happen?!" :pb_lol:

*barfs* Well, no matter how young and QF they would've been, eventually her uterus would collapse if she didn't hit menopause first. Or it would run away to seek a better life, like Donald Trump's hair did...:my_angel:

But that's because (I'm assuming here) that your kids have lives away from home....school, sports, outside activities, friends, homework...I had 2 kids plus a PT job, and I lived in my car for about 12 straight years.

I'm going to be painfully honest here. If I were Michelle I'd be PO'd. Jessa could conceivably have 10 kids and never have a laundry room melt down because she has so many  J-Slaves at her disposal. Jana may as well get married because no matter what, she's never going to get out of childcare and infant duty.

I wonder if any once or future J'slaves ever had a laundry room breakdown or if they were told to just be more "joyful." Oh, who am I kidding? We all know real feelings and independent thought aren't allowed at the TTH. Any J'slave breakdowns would mean being sent to re-education camp.

I watched the announcement video. Did JB write a prompt for Benny boy? It sounded like JB announcing another J'slave into the fold.

Jessa needs to relax with the bronzer. The orangey, shiny look is not good for anyone.

Im actually surprised though, I though for sure Jilly muffin would have the next story line - I mean blessing. Maybe Derick takes the potential Zika risk seriously?

Ok ok now I'm being petty. I'll stop.

Once again we have Jessa & Ben saying they were "surprised" about this pregnancy, especially because they still want to adopt.

How is anyone who doesn't use birth control and "leaving it up to God" surprised? Do you not understand how this works?

We'll be hearing about her being surprised and still not able to adopt in like 20 years. Just quit it, we know you never will!

Does Ben have an actual job that requires him to leave the house? If not, then having a second baby so soon won't be quite as hard as it would be for most couples.  Ben can entertain Spurge while Jessa tends the new baby. Ben seems to have time to do interviews and they travel some, too, so I think he ought to be available for "babysitting" his own children.

My husband and I were actively trying to get pregnant both times and we were still really surprised when it happened. We knew our chances and everything, but it's still seriously surprising when you see the positive result. Especially because it happened really fast for us both times.

(Maybe shocked is a better term.)

But yeah... For these couples I guess it shouldn't be as big a "surprise" after a while.

Just heard the news.  Not surprised.  Gotta stay relevant.

I totally agree with the others that they'll never adopt.  If you think they will, I have a bridge to sell you.

they are lying through teeth re conception, jinger et all - i was thinking about this - they never really stopped taping

so this "growing family" tonight will be about adoption while Jessa is already pregnant - yes a week or two - but still

I love baseball but I'm dreading the new season because the White Sox ownership is THE FUCKING WORST. I watched Dominican League Baseball (Lidom!) over the winter and fell in love with their joy, spirit, and exuberance. The broadcasts were in Spanish and my Spanish is pretty weak but I loved catching phrases and repeating them. Bombe! I'm sad about MLB and Commissioner Idiota's busywork rules. But I love baseball, always and forever.
I guess I don't have a point. Just bitching. Te amo mucho, Lidom!

      Happy International Women's Day!

Humanity may have some work to do, to improve gender equality, but I was glad to hear that France has taken an important step to protect healthcare for women (and people of other genders who can get pregnant).

Feeling ragey this morning. I have a doctor's appointment this afternoon in the hope of getting help for an ongoing injury. I went to a (different!!) doctor late last year who completely blew me off. He wouldn't do diagnostic testin, he refused to send me to a specialist, and he just told me to "take it easy" and "take ibuprofen." I'm hopeful for today's appointment but I'm also feeling a SEVERE amount of rage at that doctor from last year!

Well, the rash is back with a vengeance. It never completely cleared up. I saw the derm yesterday and they did another swab and yup, raging infection again, still? It is definitely strep skin infection. I am getting so damn tired and run down from this. Who the f would immagine being hospitalized freaking TWICE for a rash?

My niece is going to be a seat filler at this year's Academy Awards.  Seat fillers are asked to wear tuxedos regardless of sex/gender.  If you see a pretty young woman with very curly hair, it could be my niece.
