I knew a few songs from this musical, but I have never seen the entire thing.  It is on TCM atm and I am enjoying the heck out of it.  WOW.

Mom always played the soundtrack when we were growing up, so I'm familiar with the music. I think I've seen the movie, too, but it's been many moons since then.

And if memory serves, I think Meatloaf was in a stage production of Hair back in the day.

It was huge when I was in high school. Most of my friends went to see the show instead of going to prom. Never saw the show or the movie but the some of the music was pretty good. And some sounds incredible dated, but that's to be expected, especially with lyrics like "Gliddy glup gloopy, nibby nappy noopy, la la la la lo…" Classic stuff.

Diane Keaton was also an original cast member but IIRC, she was one of the few who wouldn't take her clothes off.
