Mea Maxima Culpa

Has anyone seen the documentary Mea Maxima Culpa? It's currently on Xfinity (Comcast) on demand on HBO, which is where I watched it about a month ago.

For those of you who haven't seen it, it's a documentary about the Catholic church. Specifically, there was a Catholic school for deaf children, and the priest did unspeakable things to deaf boys. Naturally, the church went to great lengths to cover it all up, but these men brought it to light for the documentary. It's two hours long, and I was captured by the story from the beginning.

It's strange to watch documentaries about the Catholic church. I was raised in the religion and used to really want to be a nun. I don't now, not at all, but I used to be heavily religious. And it's so unsettling for me to think about what could be happening behind closed doors at my church or any church that's being or has been covered up.
