Johnston's crap about ectopic pregnancy is the same stuff that Doug Phillips spewed. So is this diatribe from 2004 about not voting Republican.

Dollars to donuts, Dr. Johnston was a major VF leg-humper back in the day but has since carefully purged his website after the fall of Toolish One.

Well per Instagram they know a woman called Beall personally. And how many Bealls are there? ;)

Enjoyed hearing some of the Duggars share their faith at The Alive Festival. Ben Seewald is a gospel preacher! ‪#‎duggarfamily‬

My son was disgusted by the sight of homosexuals flaunting their sin and insisted on holding his sign right in the middle of it all. It was his choice, and I was very proud of him.

I wonder why the son was disgusted? He certainly wasn't born with that disgust or hate.

Clearly this woman should not be home schooling since she obviously has no clue how children learn.

and he just happened to have a sodomy sign on hand, seems reasonable, I know most 9 year old boys carry sodomy signs around along with their baseball mitts and gum...

What a coincidence that the sodomy sign's handwriting is the same as the handwriting on the abortion/murder sign!

He also has horrendous advice on how to make your wife horny. Spoiler alert: one of them is wrestling with your kids while she watches.

That's so freaking disturbing.

Yeah, that was what brought on the "Strippers Are At It Again!" blog post. http://www.johnstonfamilyministry.com/blog/strippers-are-it-again

Incidentally, that's a great title for my forthcoming memoir.

With all the picketing, this family reminds me of a junior Westboro. Fred Phelps' family probably looked a lot like this 50 years ago.

I'm going to keep an eye on the Johnstons. The hyper-focus on what everybody else's naughty bits are doing tells me that a sex scandal or "porn addiction" is inevitable.

Pro gun. Pro life. Pro spanking. Anti vax. Homophobes. It honestly saddens me that there are people like this alive in 2016. All I can say is, thank God I live in Britain, where fundieism is barely a thing.

I can't wrap my mind around the fact that this is the family of a physician. I just can't.

The man thinks that a sperm and an egg should have HUMAN RIGHTS! WHAT? And all of the above mentioned....

My son was disgusted by the sight of homosexuals flaunting their sin and insisted on holding his sign right in the middle of it all. It was his choice, and I was very proud of him. It is obvious to children and written on their consciences that two men are not intended to sleep together, kiss on one another, etc. It is very natural for them to want to warn sodomites to turn from their sinful and destructive lifestyle.

No, actually, none of this is natural. My youngest came home one day and said that his friend was calling people a word, but he didn't know what it meant. He told me the word, and I told him it was an unkind word that people use to hurt other people, gay people. He asked what "gay" means, and I told him that it is when two men or two women love one another the way mom and dad love one another. And he didn't blink an eye. He just responded that he'd tell his friend that he didn't like people using words to hurt people.

Homophobia isn't natural. And most children of that age don't really understand the mechanics of sex, and kissing, for them, is a way to express affection. I'm so grossed out by people who actually think they have a right to teach their kids to hate.

Although I do have to say that Ken Alexander should take a peek at this entry: http://www.johnstonfamilyministry.com/article/ten-ways-rock-your-wifes-world

Exactly! It's like racism. Hate is learned.

Absolutely.  My 5 year old was telling me about an episode of 'Say Yes to the Dress' she had been watching with my mom and how there were 2 brides trying on dresses and going to marry each other and how their dresses were beautiful with no hint of judgement, much less disgust.  Kids are not innately prejudiced.

Exactly.  My son's (age 5 at the time) response to finding out one of his classmates had two mothers was "lucky Emma".  Kids view family as a source of comfort, love and protection.  Sexuality is a meaningless concept at that age.  If her son knows what sodomy is it's only because he's been taught about it.

Oh, and just because you're a doctor, doesn't stop you from being an asshole idiot.

Well, of course. But he's an anti vax doctor? What the fuck? He's a doctor who believes that saving a woman who has an ectopic pregnancy, is killing a child? That just boggles my mind.

Guns kill.
Response: I hope so, in case someone ever brandishes a weapon shouting Allah Akbar in a crowded theater or office party and I get to set my sites on him. I'm not conceal-carrying all these years to hurt terrorist's feelings.
2. Mentally ill people can get guns.
Response: Which is why only a mentally ill person wouldn't want one.

What? Sandy hook, Planned Parenthood, Columbine, white Christian freaks like you. Second what? Of course  mentally ill folks would  want a gun.

I'm just gonna bang my head against a  wall now. I lost too many brain cells reading this

Oh boy, harassing women for possibly wanting an abortion in a place where abortions don't actually happen that often! I'm not surprised at all, but it still makes me :pb_rollseyes:

Wait they have time for this but not actually  helping a woman  and her already  born child. And pp helps low income  women.

Interesting tidbit from http://www.johnstonfamilyministry.com/article/ten-ways-rock-your-wifes-world:

1. Clean up your mess!

I was raised a slob.  You would not believe how messy our house was.  I was the oldest of five boys, and we destroyed every home in which we ever lived!  In the last home we lived in when I was in high school, the kitchen sink, full of last year’s dirty dishes, basically rotted through the floor of the trailer from unrepaired sink leaks.  The residue that collected on the oven made it a fire hazard, so we cooked in the microwave.  We ate off of paper plates in front of the television. The closet beside the washing machine was filled with outgrown clothes from the past several years, mildewed and rat-nibbled until mildew spores protruded from the closet whenever the door was accidentally cracked.  At least, after a while, the clothes stopped falling out when the door was opened; they hardened in their crumpled state, firmed by the waste of unsmashed insects and uncaught rodents.

I’ve seen filthy habits and filthy homes contribute to divorce!  It is a bad testimony to unbelievers.  The Bible says that the early church broke bread from house to house; I’ve seen filthy homes prevent such invitations and hinder church fellowship.  That is not God’s will.  Jesus taught that if a man can’t be faithful in little things, how can he be faithful in grand things.  If you can’t clean up your bedroom, how can God trust you to clean up your kids’ lives, purify a church body, cleanse a government of corruption, or to transform a Muslim kingdom into a Christian one!  Come on!  If we’re going to dream, why not dream big!  Pick up those dirty socks with some vision!

Although my cleanliness did improve when I set out on my own in college, I was not quite prepared to “care for the things of the world how I may please my wife.”  The things my wife loved about me didn’t make up for the loathsome turn off of my messiness!   It’s a lesson learned the hard way, but well worth the learning.  Men – clean up your mess!  You will find it quite rewarding in the end.  (Get your mind out of the gutter!)

Sounds like his childhood wasn't that great ...

Exactly. At a recent school shooting near me there was an ex-military man who happened to be on campus that day and he happened to have a gun on him. He didn't shoot it and people were upset at him. They asked him why and he said something like "police are here because there is an active shooter. If I pulled my gun out, the police wouldn't know that I was trying to help them. They would just see a dude brandishing a gun."

Like duh. If you're a white guy holding a gun and the police are looking for an armed white guy, what do you think is gonna happen?

Not only does he think it should have rights, he thinks those rights should be above the ADULT WOMAN'S rights.

It's like we took everything we hate about fundieism and made it into one horrific chimera that is this family.

Yes, and this crazy, fuck job literally has the power to hold his patients' lives in his hands. *shudder* That's terrifying.

It seems I'm late to the game, but that nude strippers letter is the finest piece of literature written by any fundie. Pure gold.
