RIP Lemmy from Motorhead

I was never a big Motorhead fan (my brother had been), but I love heavy metal music & respect all the work that Lemmy did & feel bad that he's gone.

He just seemed immortal, ya know?

He certainly was a character. I wasn't a big fan of Motorhead either but I did see them on my second trip to England in 1979—at the Music Machine in Camden Town. I'm pretty sure we weren't there to see Motorhead but another Stiff artist, although for the life of me I can't remember who it was. Never forgot Motorhead though. One of my favorite science fiction books, An Alien Heat by Michael Moorcock, is dedicated to Lemmy and Hawkwind.

RIP

I wasn't into Motorhead.  But, I'm a headbanging kind of girl who came of age in the 80's and have much respect for Lemmy.  RIP.
