It really shouldn't surprise anyone that extreme Christians are very similar to extreme Muslims if you actually are aware of how the Abrahamic religions are related to each other. Most fundies are not educated enough about Islam to realize this, but the Koran mentions Jesus's mother Mary more than the New Testament does.

My mother's big gripe right now is about how "Muslim extremists want to create a theocracy and force their beliefs on everyone!!11!" I've mentioned more than once that there are Christian fundamentalists that would love to do the same thing, however it falls on deaf ears.
