The Proverbs Family shuts it all down

310 posts in this topic

I went to look at Mother Proverbs blog today, and it is gone. So is the Facebook fan page and the fathers website. They appear to have scrubbed their presence.

The daughter's social media account that was discussed yesterday is also gone.

Since we know Kristen visited here, I hope she remembers that there are people in the world worried for her & that when she turns 18 there are ways to get out.

I have no doubt that this happened due to the backlash from here when people found about what the stepfather had done. I just hope that the daughter doesn't get in trouble for talking about it on the internet. I have uneasy images of spanking and plumbing line and who knows what else. :(

I hope that if CPS does end up investigating(and I'm sure someone got screenshots of everything including the blog with daycare kids)that Kristen doesn't feel guilt. She is not to blame. Obviously her mother acted like being her molested was not a big deal so she didn't realize that going around telling people what happened could cause her family to be investigated. I think they do need to be investigated. That was extremely disturbing.

I'm still getting the main blog (although who knows how long that will last?). Everything else has been scrubbed.

Edited to add: main blog is gone as well.

Facebook page is back up with this lovely status

Prov. 28:23 He who rebukes a man will find more favor afterward Than he who flatters with the tongue.

So... by calling you out on the things you did, we will find more favor than you will lying about why you shut stuff down?

She said yesterday that she would go to her grandparents' house if anything happened, so at least she has somewhere to go. I hope she has a happy future.

Here's the thing, it was stated very clearly that these children are still left alone with this man. Not that simply not leaving him unattended would be enough, but I think this clearly underlines just how much of a shit the mother doesn't give. Hell, if I were that girl's mother he would be praying for a nice long prison sentence. He'd be better off there. Away from me. I'd bet most moms here feel the same.

Her little home daycare and submissive wife bit is just....I don't even know the word for it. She is literally providing him with his victims. But I guess if she doesn't care enough to protect her own kids, we sure as hell can't expect her to be bothered to protect anyone else's. Further, she seems to think this will all go away if she just calls the internet a big meanie, throws out a few nonsensical scriptures, and gets a new blog address. The internet is forever though, and you can't delete this kind of thing. I predict CPS will be showing up on her doorstep shortly, and they won't smile on the fact that this woman has so downplayed her daughter's abuse. Matter of fact, I hope the put both parents in jail. That's damn sure where they belong.

Isn't that heartbreaking? She has been abused twice and she's got a plan for where to go (and take her sisters) if it happens a 3rd time. Meanwhile, Proverbs mom is somewhere keeping a fucking blog and running a daycare.

I can't think about it too much or I will start crying. She is reminding me of the fundie girl who I got close to years ago. She ended up killing herself.

Of course it is! Poor Proverbs mom just can't figure out why people are making such a fuss over this. I'm sure it's a total inconvenience on her Saturday <-----scathing sarcasm.

I just keep remind myself that surely to god CPS will get involved and relive her of these children. The daycare parents need to be notified as well.

One of mom's recent posts on her blog was to tell father's how to guard their daughter's purity. I can't even imagine her going there.

She will make that poor child lie and say that she made it up for attention or something like that. I bet if it came down to it she would pick him over her children. She is disgusting.

One of the dads recent posts on his now defunct blog was about the hypocrisy of christians in sexual sin! He mentioned a pastor who had been committing adultery. He quoted bible verses about not tolerating such things!

I finished the DOL mandated Office Management Systems classed graduated, yeah me. That was Thursday. The next Tuesday I'm at the career counselors office and she says you have to have 20 jobs by the end of the week. I mean, UEI doesn't ask for that, more like 6 for 2 weeks. But OH NO. The DOL is making me job hunt. I think the people on UEI are not damaged or have chronic injury related problems yet they don't have to do this.
Plus the DOL has not approved my change of doctors. I wrote to the District Admin for SFO and I said I've jumped through every hoop you've put before me and now you won't let me see the doctor that I need to see? I've written my CE 4 times with no response. Not fair. They probably know he'll say no you can't work and it's causing damage to your cervical vertebrae and your shoulder. I have numbness that goes down my neck, across my shoulders and down to my elbows. C567. We shall see what happens.
First thing I do in the morning is job hunt and get my 4 or 5 out of the way. Then I can concentrate on other things.
Peace. From annie who's not so good.

I think a watershed moment was reached today.  Juniper has become a snuggle bunny!

Arlo watched with some interest; he's pondering whether he wants to maybe get some of whatever is making her purr...

      Kitten Update:
I had company for a few days so had limited time with the kittens.  But before that, last Wednesday, a vet appointment for first shots, worming etc.  I lured Juniper and Arlo into carriers.  I had been hoping to get them both into one carrier so I could lure Bob into the other, but instead they each took one.  So I took them to the vet.  Vet confirmed my sex assumptions -- Arlo is male, Juniper is a rare female ginger, yay!  Neither of them was happy about being trapped or transported or handled by the vet, but after a few initial hisses, no one bit Dr. Joe (or me).  They did great, and after a few hours of hiding right after we got home, they have returned to their old selves.
That is to say, Juniper has made great progress in being friendly.  I've been able to pick her up and skritch her and snuggle her and pet her several times, and she promptly starts purring!  She seems fairly relaxed but usually leaves my lap or arms pretty soon after I stop restraining her.  I think we're close to her approaching *me* for pets!  Arlo is still pretty wary and although I've petted him a few times I have not picked him up yet.  He might sniff my extended hand or bat at it, but still jumps if I cop a pet along his spine or tail when he happens to be within reach.
On the one hand, I still can't so much as stand up without them all scattering to under the couch.  On the other hand, some progress -- I can sometimes enter the room without them leaving their windowsill perch or spot on the floor, if I walk v e r r r r y s l l l o o w w w l l l y y y across the the room and don't go too near to them.
Bob, however, is another story.  Remember he was wilder than the others to begin with.  When I returned from the vet, I spent the rest of the day attempting to catch Bob for his turn.  I almost caught him twice but he escaped both times.  One time I actually grabbed him as he escaped the carrier and if I had been wearing gloves I might have been able to just put him in the carrier.  But since I wasn't wearing gloves, his panic led to several scratches on my hand (all minor and now almost gone, but I did watch them carefully and treat with an anti-infection tincture) and I let him go back into the room.  He's now extra spooked and I haven't seen a whole lot of him since Wednesday.  He's still around, doing fine, in fact I just watched him eat some kibble a few minutes ago -- he's just not so interested in getting to know me at the moment.  Next Wednesday I will break his heart further as I attempt to trap him yet again for another try at the vet's office.
Twice while holding Juniper in my arm, I've tried to walk out of the room to let her experience at least a whiff of the rest of the house.  But my opening the door causes her to panic so I've aborted that project both times.
No recent photos of Arlo or Juniper (hopefully I'll have a lot more time with them in the next few days since my company left this morning and also the oppressive high temperatures are supposed to cool down starting tomorrow which will make hanging out with them more pleasant) but here are some of Bob after his kibblefest just now:

So happy for Neymar and Brazil...that was a spectacular match. Glad they won gold when it really counted.
I love the Olympics. Especially since Bolt won the triple-triple and Jamaica did well in track & field, even through injuries and illness!
