Primitive "painting" on found wood

Not sure whether this goes in painting, sculpture or woodworking, but this is what I do with found wood that I think looks like animals / creatures.

I bid on an outsider art found wood painting. It fits great on my front door. Useful in repelling religious zealots, close minded folk, and makes a nice foil to the confederate flag next door. He can be dressed up for holidays.

I love the animals. I was afraid it would be like the stuff painted on hand saws. this is much better.
