Whenever people praise Michelle for always being calm, I always think about the rumors of yelling at her kids and acting like a bitch off camera. Those rumors have been on TWOP a few times. One rumor was about a former Duggar neighbor who said she saw Michelle yelling at the kids. There is also a video somewhere on youtube from several years of Michelle struggling to get Hannie and Jackson to settle down. I don't think Michelle is sweet and constantly calm like makes herself out of be. She really isn't much of a role model either for different reasons.

I have seen this girl before on IG. She has commented on Josh's IG a few times. I think she is a naive young girl who easily bought into the "always happy" image of the Duggars. She probably doesn't realize that reality shows are heavily edited and that some things are staged.

Yup, she would definitely change her mind after being a JSlave for day. Let her spend a week being a JSlave and she would see the other problems that go with the Duggars. It looks like she attends ebil public school. She would hate not being at school and with the friends that she picked out. The Duggars push their kids to only be friends with kids from other fundie families.

I think she bought into the "always happy wholesome" image that TLC has made out of the Duggars. The show is heavily edited and fights are never shown. The only time something has aired that indicated trouble was Jana crying about a past conflict with Jessa or Jinger. Other than that, we always see the Duggars being happy and never fighting. Often, I detect phoniness whenever the kids are doing things and both Boob and Mullet come of as phony. I do think fights go on in that house but TLC still wants to maintain the "always happy wholesome and never argues" image. There is a faction of the Duggar fanbase that aren't fundie types. This girl fits in with that faction. The non fundie faction of consists of different people like liberals, mainstream Christians, atheists, and people from non Christian religions. I know a lapsed Jewish woman who is a fan of the Duggars. I also remember an atheist fan trying to defend the Duggars on IMDB or twop.

I agree, older people should know about better about the realities of infants, toddlers, kids and young adults. There has been footage aired of the younger kids crying. But conflicts between the Duggar kids caught on camera never air. I have to add that I think some of the older non -fundie fans aren't too bright. The fundie and evangelical type fans of the Duggars are fully aware of the things the Duggars do, like not allowing dating, keeping kids from colleges etc. The older non-fundie fans fail to see how stunted the Duggar kids are. The four older J'Slaves are now over the age of 18 and it is painfully obvious that they are controlled by Boob and they are stunted. None of them minus Jill have a decent amount of work experience outside the home. Jana worked at the Gothard HQ for a very brief period. I cringe whenever non-fundie fans say that the Duggars are raising responisble kids. John David seems to have a strong work ethic. Josh is pretty much hanging around a Boob owned business. Jana, Jinger, and Jessa would have trouble working in jobs outside of the home and outside of fundieland. I would love to Jinger and Jessa work in food service or retail for a week. The non- fundie fans should realize how weird it looks for 20 something women to be sharing bedrooms with younger siblings. It also looks weird and irresponsible for someone in her late teens or early 20s to be homeschooling several siblings.

I know what you mean. I've wanted to do the same thing to the lapsed Jew Duggar fan that I know. I think the only faction of fans that the Duggars actually like are the hardcore fundie fans. They probably dislike their non fundie fans, but they keep sweet because they make money off those people. With the lapsed Jew fan, she also has a hearing impairment and openly admits to having received social security disability and other forms of government assitance. The Duggars loathe any person who has received or receives government assistance. There is no way they would like atheists or agnostics.

I also think that they probably don't care much for many of their mainstream Christian fans. They have made money by speaking at mainstream Christian conferences and they associate with Christian organizations are ok with birth control, and abortion in certain situations(rape, incest, health reasons). I might be wrong, but I think Focus on Family is ok with birth control. Mullet and Boob probably get irritated encountering fans who have chosen to have smaller families and who don't control their kids 24/7.
