  1. Continuing on from here:
  2. So, Melanie is due March 6th, which is less than 2 weeks from now. Since she has always gone early, I figured it's time to start a baby watch thread. Post any predictions or thoughts. My predictions: I'm thinking it's going to be a girl, though I hope not. They will name her Esther Grace and call her Essie. She'll be tiny with dark hair that will quickly change to blonde. I'm going with being born March 1st. If it's a boy, I'm guessing Benjamin Elijah, called Elijah.
  3. Sarah is 33 or 34. Has she ever been alone (aside from using the restroom of course)? Has she ever gone to the store alone or been alone at home?

  6. Carrying on from here: Sassy name credit goes to @mango_fandango!
  7. He's okay thank God but I'm sure Steve will make him feel guilty about it Ironically it happened on the anniversary of Susannah's death today
  8. Has anyone seen this website yet? Their only post titled "A Family Integrated Church?" is dated two days ago. http://leavenworthfamilyintegratedchurch.com/
  9. In his latest Dad's corner he says learning should not be fun. Fuck you Steve.
  10. She's visiting a friend named Tiffany. She returns home on Tuesday. Ellie stayed home. Why all this sudden independence? What's gotten into Steve?
  11. By Steve: "We love you and are so grateful you choose to be apart [sic] of our family until the Lord brings along the right guy." We also don't want to tell people how old you really are as you wither on the vine. Nor do we want to help the Lord along by giving you any opportunity to get out there and actually meet eligible men. I wish Sarah could be apart from her family.
  12. Joseph and Elissa have arranged to take Mary to volunteer at the OCC depot in Denver, Co., as a graduation gift. Sarah tells blog readers to "look out for Mary and Joseph!" at the OCC processing days this weekend. I want more details on where they will be staying, on a road trip without Stevus! Who will chaperone Mary and protect her from the hotel mini-bar during the 3-night stay?! Answers on a future blog post, please, Steve!
  13. This year they've gotten wild and crazy. Rather than each person saying what they are thankful/greatful for in general, they say why they are greatful for another family member. See, they are spontaneous! Aparently extended family were all too busy to bother with this nonsense? Last but certainly not least, Mary is getting pretty risqué with her hemline.
  14. It was a big hit, even more fun than game night. John's pie contained delicious chunks.
  15. Steve's latest Seriously post is up, there will be a fast Sat Nov 7 through Nov 8. I think this one is a little shorter. I think I'll do Pizza Ranch again.
  16. Shockingly not everything wasn't perfect!!! BTW how fake is the final photo to the others????
  17. I'm excited, I got the order today. My Colorado with the Moodys book has Sarah's signature and a Bible Verse: Phil. 3:13-14. It's dedicated to, surprise surprise, her family! The last several pages are listed as resources, but they are really ads for Titus2 products. Same with Keeping Our Children's Hearts. Also, it looks like they didn't change very much in KOCH. Sarah, Christopher and Nathan's ages are listed as their 20s. Not sure why they couldn't update their testimonies. Oh, and Max is meant to be Joseph. Max winds up married to a girl named Elisa and pregnant within the first year. Also, Sarah doesn't know what an epilogue is. Hint to Sarah: it's not telling your readers this is the last book in the series. I'll keep you all updated as I read through the books. I'll go with the Colorado with the Moodys first, because it's new, unless you all want me to go through KOCH first.
  18. New post up. Apparently, people enjoy Sarah's writing style! And... Sarah, Anna and Mary are visiting small towns; something to do with Sarah's new book.
  19. "Track" the menu, save shopping lists, and write down "after-action" reports detailing how many you fed, how much was left over, and what you didn't have enough of. The Resurrection Sunday meal was also "originated" by Teri's mom. Weird choice of word. They also have the same meal every Christmas and every Resurrection Sunday by "popular vote". Again, weird phrasing. Through reading this post, I can see where Sarah got her odd writing style from...
  20. To continue this fantastic anti-fast/feast I decided to make my favourite risotto. I don't know if radicchio is known and grown somewhere else in the world, btw this is it It's a sort of red salad typical of Veneto. I used more or less the amount you see in the pic. Ingredients: radicchio, 2shallots, walnuts, butter, homemade bouillon, Carnaroli rice, half a glass of red wine, boiling water, Gorgonzola cheese, Parmigiano. I put some butter in the pan to melt, cut two shallots in very little piecess and add to the butter. I cut the radicchio leaves and the walnuts in little pieces and add when tthe shallots turn gold. I cooked it for 5-7 minutes, adding some spoonfuls of boiling water to avoid burning. When water evaporates I added rice and toasted for two minutes. Then added the wine, a half glass of cabernet sauvignon. Then I kept the rice covered with boiling water for 15-16 minutes. At the end I tasted, added some salt, nutmeg, pepper, Gorgonzola cheese and Parmigiano. Stirred. Ready for the dish. I am the worst food blogger ever and forgot to take a pic of the dish...off to self flagellate, not, better leaving that to Stevhovah Good lunch to everyone!

Oh, Maxwell Family....Stevehovah has declared another fast period, so FJ will rebel against his rather nutty religious inclinations by implementing an anti-fast. What is an anti-fast? The anti-fast is FJ's stomping stiletto against Stevehovah's dangerous and manipulative nonsense. It appears that this time, he and his crew will be fasting for seven days to do something or other to their faith life. In turn, FJ will stage an anti-fast, or a period of time where we eat whatever we want, in rebellion of Stevehovah's craziness. How do I participate in an anti-fast? You get yourself somewhere comfy and then you eat whatever you want. It could be some cake, a whole cake, or ten cakes. Pick your vice, and eat however much you want. Boom! You've anti-fasted. Good for you, standing up against the religious craziness that is Stevehovah. FJ does not condone any drinking or eating that may go against any prescribed food and drink regimens, or that would go against a physician's recommendation. Please anti-fast responsibly.
  22. There is a new Maxwell post about their trip, with the three standard pictures (bags, Anna making food, loading the vehicle), but when I clicked on the pictures to view them larger, there was a 4th picture! It is of chocolate!!! Intrigue!!
  23. Teri has a new post up about the "interesting phenomenon" of the ABC girls enjoying spending time with Sarah, Anna and Mary. They have more energy and, you know, actually engage in relatively unstructured play. So, to make her granddaughters keep their focus on Teri, Teri has reading time scheduled in once a week. You can tell the girls love it by the fake smiles on their faces. Abby in particular is really not having any fun. The post is dripping with PA language. It obviously pisses Teri off that the ABCs prefer their aunts to her. Given how the mom in the Moody books act, no kid would want to play with Teri - and she gets that! But she won't do anything to change it.
