  1. Welcome one and all to the Official VelociRapture Cheat Sheet for the extended Duggar family. A few things before we start: 1. DO NOT COMMENT ON THIS UNTIL YOU SEE A SUMMARY FOR JOSIE. I say this in all caps so you have no excuses if you do comment before then. Posting these summaries takes a lot of time due to the size of the text and I have a baby who requires attention. I'm trying to make sure all the summaries are up top together, so please don't post until you see one for Josie. 2. These are very basic summaries. I don't watch the shows, so I wrote these using a combination of FJ, social media, and google. If you see something incorrect or there's something missing then please comment below (once all the summaries are up.) All I ask is that you cite legitimate sources - there's a ton of false information and rumors about the Duggars. I'd like to keep the summaries as factual as possible. 3. That said, if you know that one of the kids loves pizza and hates salad you don't need to cite that. I'll try to keep up with the comments and update as needed. Summaries start with the parents and then go by birth order of the children. Some of the kids are included in the same summaries because I don't know much about them and it was easier. Click on each spoiler to view.
  2. I know the DUggars give some to charity and ,but they are far from the most charitable. Other public figures give millions without calling attention to it. Fans act like they own the market on it. Though they may have good intentions and I dont knock their efforts, You still cant help but wonder how much is done for the cameras. I saw no reason to break link. http://www.buzzfeed.com/kristinharris/t ... bs-of-2014
  3. Is it me or are the fans on 19K FB more delusional? It is one thing being a fan and another defending them on everything. Even fans of the show don't like how behind the shows are from real life or have concerns about the car seats get attacked. A couple or so have caught on to who the Duggars really are.
  4. I haven't seen a thread about this and have thought about it a lot myself. There are several things.. 1. An episode where the Duggar girls get their hair cut and all donate it to a nonprofit organization that makes wigs for people with cancer. Then we see how they like having shoulder-length or shorter hair. Jill, especially, could donate a ton! 2. An episode that highlights grocery shopping and meal prep. Give us an insight into how they're really eating these days. Complete with a pop-up that tells us just how many paper, plastic and styrofoam plates etc. the family goes through each year. Bonus if production tells them this staggering number and asks how they feel about that. 3. An episode that shows the school-aged kids working on school. Who teaches them? What are they studying? How much time are they spending? And I'd like a recap of who's graduated and what they're (really) doing now. 4. An episode that shows their daily life rather than life preparing for or returning from a trip, planning a wedding or going on awkward double dates. It's been years since we've seen anything like that. Is there ever structure? Any other ideas?
  5. Here's part 1: viewtopic.php?f=8&t=25044 and Part 2: viewtopic.php?f=8&t=25197 And here's a hilarious picture of a Duggarette, because I can't think of a better way to start the thread. If anyone would like to post a summary of recent discussion topics, it would be appreciated.
  6. JB IS Homer Simpson!

Is it just me or was Homer Simpson filling in for JB on the police ride along with JD? The way he was eating chips and donuts, mmmmm donuts..... And is it just me or did JD seem disgusted with JB in general...like he tolerates his dad because well he is his dad...
  7. Here's part 1: viewtopic.php?f=8&t=25044 Look for Buzzard's recap later tonight.
  8. So I was reading about the Roloff family from 'Little People, Big World' yesterday to find out what the kids are up to these days etc (I used to really love that show). I found out that the youngest boy Jacob has had quite a lot of struggles... He was expelled from school and caught up in drugs, etc. Anyway, I was reading that TLC have to provide a separate contract for each child over the age of 18. Apparently when Jacob turned 18 he refused to sign TLC contract, and would only sign a waiver that basically meant that they don't have to blur out his face when he ends up in the background of footage... but he would not be actively filmed, or speak on camera etc. Jacob has openly said he found the show fake, and hated being on camera growing up. The rest of the family has refused to comment on Jacobs distain for the filming. It made me think that perhaps a couple of the Duggar kids (e.g., Josiah) have also quietly refused sign these same contracts?
  9. Just in case people do not venture out of this sub forum there is a discussion thread for the new season located in quiver full of snark. Please keep discussions about the current season in there. viewtopic.php?f=8&t=25044&p=876349#p876347 Happy snarking!
  10. Does anyone else have this 2 hour special on their PVR on Tuesday ? Apparently its a recap of the wedding and the new season so it won't be Jill's wedding and it has behind the scenes stuff
  11. The Upcoming Season...

I have been thinking about the new season. Obviously, the birth of BDilly has not already been filmed, so I'm guessing they'll start with Jessa and Ben, maybe even up to and including the wedding, while peppering in information about Jill and Dill. I'm also wondering if JB learned his lesson on announcing a pregnancy before the wedding was actually aired? The Duggars came off look stupid with that move, IMO. I think a Jessa pregnancy announcement and People cover might have to wait until after the wedding is aired and BDilly has arrived? Lastly, how much of Jill's labor and delivery will be aired? Here's my prediction: 1) J/Dill and Derick annonce Jill is in labor 2) Jill makes a few calls and sweetly labors at home. 3) JB and M give talking heads about Jill's progress and their excitement 4) Jill, Dill and Derick are photographed post delivery with smiles and appropriate flower headband in place. 5) Vital stats and name are revealed.
  12. I am assuming if there was any other really big announcement coming (like a courtship) it would have been hinted here, so my expectations are now at an all-time low that it's going to be as miserable and predictable as we all feared... From the Duggar Family Blog: "Last season, Jim Bob and Michelle proudly gave Jill away to Derick Dillard. Now, Jill starts her life as a wife and quickly finds out that she is expecting. From ultrasounds to birthing classes, follow Jill and Derick on their journey to parenthood, and join the entire Duggar clan for the gender reveal of Baby Dilly. When the newlyweds decides to host the youngest Duggar daughters for a sleepover, they get a taste of what parenthood will really be like. The family also prepares for a second Duggar daughter to say “I Do.†In November 2014, viewers followed along with Jessa as she embarked on a scavenger hunt engagement planned by Ben Seewald. In the upcoming season, keep up with Jessa and Ben as they head to the altar. When the future Mr. and Mrs. Seewald decide to save money for a romantic honeymoon, it’s all about pinching pennies on the wedding. With a guest list of over 1000 people, Jessa and Ben must plan their dream wedding on a shoestring budget. From budgeting to bridesmaid attire, Jessa knows what she wants but has less than three months to pull it off. And when the future Seewalds tour their soon-to-be home, a little mold may turn into a big problem. The DC-based Duggars are also loving life on the East Coast. With Marcus almost 2-years-old, Josh and Anna are hoping to grow their family. And there is plenty of big family fun back in Arkansas as Jim Bob and Michelle cherish each moment with the kids still at home."
  13. Duggar Addiction?

I freely admit to being absolutely fascinated/repelled by the whole Quiverfull movement (& large families in general). I'll also admit to watching almost every Duggar episode that's been produced, sometimes multiple times. Has anyone ever had the need for a Duggar "fix" (ie, when bored & watching tv: there's nothing on right now; it'd be a good time for a Duggar show)? When I feel the overwhelming need (for lack of a better term) for a fix, I'll watch a video on YouTube & be ok for a while; I'll sometimes do this when cooking or doing some sort of housework. Is this a sign of a Duggar addiction, or do I need a new hobby? Or get out more?
  14. If this season runs ~3 months like they have lately, that'd cover mid-February through maybe the end of May. So between the show and the announcements from other sources, from now until late May...best guesses?! Winner gets bragging rights? Or maybe winner should be ashamed of yourself for knowing the Duggars too well? Courtship/engagement/wedding announcements? Pregnancies? Anything else wild and unexpected? So far we've got: Married Duggars: Jill - due in March, so she's pretty much accounted for, unless she pops out a 9lb baby on Feb 1. Anna - due in July, but no m'gender (or number of babies) yet A so far but-likely-not-for-long assumed empty-wombed Jessa Duggars who could potentially announce courtships (or even engagements or marriages..): John (25) Jana (25) Jinger (21) Joseph (20) Josiah (18) And Josh, Jessa and Jill were 19?, 20, and 22 when they began courting, I think? Just for reference Think there could be a courtship announcement by June?
  15. and then in the comments she plugs #19kids and says find out on 2/17. I wonder what's up? I can't imagine that he got engaged to his gf because why would they plug that as the season opener. http://duggars.tumblr.com/image/108837558573
  16. I think this is the first year the sheer quantity of future Duggars is starting to hit me. To be generous...let's say the show lasted until 2018. By then, all of the kids down to Jason would be over 18 (I think?). That's 12? adults, and I'd say it's likely 8-9 will be married. That could easily mean a baby every 3-6 months. Basically, NOTHING will be new or interesting at that point. TLC would not even have the time to follow the adults and their families because there would just be TOO MANY of them. I am not convinced a spinoff would be a success, either. Maybe if one of the J'kids really went wild and join a UU church, started drinking wine, got HBO, started working for a liberal advocacy group and decided they weren't going to have any biological children and would only adopt. (Just dreaming...) What will be the final nail in the coffin? Do you think Jim Bob could actually almost encourage one of them to do something "different" soon if viewership was down just to keep the money rolling in? If there's anything Jim Bob loves more than Jesus, it's a big paycheck for a small amount of work.
  17. The Duggars return to reality TV on Tuesday, February 17th, 2015. The new season will give viewers a glimpse into Jill and Derick Dillard's lives as newlyweds. The couple is expecting their first child in March and has been filming home videos that they are looking forward to sharing on upcoming episodes of 19 Kids and Counting. The new season will also feature the wedding of Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald. More of Jill
  18. Wikipedia hasn't listed any upcoming episodes. What does it mean?
  19. Would there be 19 without TV?

I think when the Duggars were first on TLC, they had 14 children. Sometimes, I feel they continued to have more babies to keep the network and viewers interested. To get their own regular series. To keep the viewers in perpetual suspense about the next pregnancy. Do you feel that without TV, they would have stopped at 14 or 15?

  21. So we know that Jana was on the Josh and Anna road trip but she wasn't on screen or mentioned. And we know that Josiah was missing from the whole last season. I was just watching the rerun of when the Duggar and Bates older girls go camping and Jill is missing. I don't think they mentioned why - maybe midwife duties? With so many kids I think it would be easy to air episodes when a kid or two is missing. Any other missing Duggar episodes?
  22. Starcasm today had an article about the Duggars and noted that Jana apparently went along on Josh and Anna's road trip but appeared to be edited out, with Josh noting that it was his and Anna's first trip on their own. Does anyone know anything about this? " In tonight’s show, Josh Duggar continues his family road-trip as questions come up about whether Anna Duggar is pregnant. The actual purpose of the trip is to attend Anna’s sister Priscilla Waller’s gender reveal party. Spoiler alert: It’s a girl! Priscilla and husband David Waller welcomed baby Davia Lynn Waller on Nov. 12. They are also parents to 20-month-old Paul.Interestingly, Jana Duggar went along for the road trip, but was edited out of last week’s episode… Josh even made a big deal about it being his family’s first cross-country trip on their own." http://starcasm.net/archives/296475 Some of the comments seem to be speculation that Jana might have had an indiscretion with a boy and that's why she's not courting etc. I don't think so, but who knows? The article also talks about the Duggars visiting College of the Ozarks near Branson, Missouri. I quote: “Every student gets work experience as part of their education and they even have their own dairy farm, bakery and restaurant,†they said on Facebook. The kids even got to learn about weaving and dairy-farming. (Wouldn’t it be great if Jim Bob and Michelle were so impressed they actually allow a few of their kids to go there?)" One can only hope! I find it strange that the Duggars won't even consider a Christian college? Even the Bates allowed some of their kids to attend one for music. Does anyone know why the Duggars are so against higher education?
  23. Just saw this story: http://extratv.com/2014/11/17/19-kids-a ... -backlash/ Seems the kissing photos stirred up some backlash from the LGBTQ community.
