Picture of the Day ~ 01.08.16

This was my first attempt at "minimalist colors."   Normally, I'd use tons of colors on a design like this, but I wanted to try using just 3 colors after someone posted a design they had done with very few colors on FJ Colorists Unite.

Unfortunately, my plan didn't go quite how I wanted it to because 1/2 way through the page my pink sakura pen suddenly died with no warning :(    I have several Sakura sets so I figured if I picked another pink that was close in shade they would look similar.  Wrong again!   The pink I picked looked more than the purple I was using than pink.

At that point, I gave up and added a 4th color (yellow) to try and help the situation.   I'm not sure it actually helped, though.

I still had fun coloring the page, so that's really all that matters and I don't think it looks too terrible.

It's really pretty, @Curious!  I wouldn't have realized that you had to change your plan for this.  I really like the minimal colours. It has way more impact!

I like the colors and agree that I wouldn't have known you had a problem with your original plan unless you mentioned it. Especially like the yellow and pink colors  :my_shy:

Thanks everyone :)

It's SO noticeable to me so I'm glad others think it looks ok.

When I was a kid, my mom had a huge crush on Tom Selleck in "Magnum PI". I think that turned me off men's short-shorts for all time. Why were men so hairy back then???

Hairy men were seen as manly men. And it was a turn on to have lots of body hair. Nowadays many hairy men will shave their chests and backs.

My dad kept some of his 80s shorty shorts well into the 1990s. Teenage me was mortified if he wore them out of the house.

I really hope they don't think that them using birth control had any influence on this loss.

I doubt they will think that. They've shown to use critical thinking in the past, and some of her siblings that haven't said whether or not they use birth control have had losses.

I do like shorter shorts for men. Like mid-thigh. When men wear huge long cargo shorts, they completely obscure their legs. Now that’s modesty. You can’t see anything. So nicely fitting shorts that go to mid-thigh are visually more pleasing.

I HATE those ugly cargo shorts and the long board shorts on everyone. People should wear what they like, but men's wear in rural areas is so sloppy and gross.  They are so afraid of being fashionable that they look uncomfortable and usually kind of dirty.

I like men who work out and don't care that their shorts are short, because it's easier to run fast in short shorts. Not men who drive around mocking men who work out for being (insert derogatory term for women of choice here). Also let me see some calf muscle kthanksbye
