Picture of the Day ~ 02.17.16

This one was done with mostly pentel sign markers, I believe.  I really like the way this one turned out.   One of the few pattern ones that I've managed not to screw up or use some ugly color on.    I like the pattern ones because there is no right or wrong way to do them.  People see different patterns in them and color them accordingly.   I had fun with this one.

I really like your picture, it reminds me of optical illusions, while looking at it, it slowly started to move for me.  Maybe it is just my eyes and I need them tested lol but it was really cool.

This effect is why I can't color pages with this type of design...my eyes and brain go whacko!  (Well, more whacko than usual.)   :my_shy:

Honestly, I'm surprised I don't mess up the patterns more than I do.   It's hard for me to focus on them sometimes until I have at least one element done on the whole page.

I have several books that are just patterns like this and there are a few pages in each one that I will likely never do because just looking at them gives me a feeling of vertigo when trying to sort out individual elements.

I do enjoy the patterns for days when I'm not feeling a particular subject, but want to color.  You really can't do them "wrong" even if you just colored every bit a different color it would still end up being a pattern one way or another ;)

Edit: do and don't aren't the same thing :P

Carver Bowers and Haley Paul's wedding is either Friday or Saturday. Keep your eyes peeled for the mysterious couple, Charlie Bowers and Pelaiah White Bowers (still unacknowledged by the Whites on social media)

      I think it’s Saturday. 4/20. I’m sure they are huge potheads 😉

Braggie reminds me of Jill Rod in this way. Jill spends so much money on herself while the kids get Pennie’s in comparison. If you asked Braggie how much she spends on her kids, she would probably say, “I spend so much money on my kids! We spent $50,000 on them last year.” And yes, $50,000 would be a ton of money for most families. But divide that up by 10. That’s $5,000 per kid. For food, clothing, activities, school supplies, toys, birthday and Christmas gifts, everything. Now I would love to see how much Braggie spent on herself in comparison. For her food, clothes, makeup, hair products, date nights, furniture, wallpaper, vacations, Hamilton tickets, ugly coats, etc. I bet it’s way way more than $5,000. That’s the thing. When I look at my family of 4, we actually spend more money on our kids! My kids have guitar lessons, speech therapy, theater productions, camps, new clothes and shoes all the time because they grow like crazy, fun outings to trampoline parks, birthday gifts, Christmas gifts, and so much more.

Im not saying you have to spend more on your kids to be a good parent. I’m just saying that when you have too many kids, they are the ones who go without. Not the parents. Because they control the money and they will not have enough money to give every single one of those kids what they could have given them if they stuck with a more responsible number. Braggie and Jill’s priorities are way off. It’s all about them first and kids just get whatever is left over.

Omg, for real. I wonder if this means they'll be reverting to enslavement and coverture and the one-drop rule too. Because you know they want to do all those things.

I think someone should pull out a list of 1864 laws still on the book there and start reporting people for it. "You took the lords name in vain on a Sunday!" or "no wearing suspenders" or "no spitting on side walks" whatever ridiculousness. Just to show people "look - these laws are this old and we've moved PAST it..." (but the weirdos would probably love it.
