I've colored for years...

I love looking at the coloring stuff because it makes me smile, but it's nothing I could do due to my inability to stay in the lines, lack of aesthetic sense, and reluctance to do anything recreationally off line.  But then I realized I've been coloring for years, in my own way. More insipid crap...but it's Friday

With the news being what it is and all the sadness with the state of things I feel guilty for being happy it's Friday.  It's amazing how the petty bullshit feelings (good and bad) go on no matter how awful things are out there.  I don't know if that's a sign of callousness or humanity. And we can all stand to smile right about now and I defy anyone to look at the little guys below and NOT smile...it's a lot of cuteness.

This is the year - we're finally going to do it!

Yes!  You read that right...I'm finally losing my virginity!  My outdoor Christmas light virginity that is... Meetings...anyone else bored yet?

I call two major, mandatory, cannot refuse, if your name is on the invite your ass needs to be in the conference room meetings a year.   That's not so many.  Once in the summer, once near end of year...it's not that intrusive to meet twice a year. For four hours.  Okay, that's a lot...but it's not my fault.  This is how we, as a whole, decided to meet this part of the standard so they aren't so much my meetings as our collective meetings upon which we agreed.  I just set the agenda, run the me

Why can't people just obey?

How many times do I have to say if you want it backed up store it on the server?  When I make proper storage to the server your default save path and you go out of your way to store it to the desktop...when I have a signed user agreement that I only backup server stored documents and you understand what that means and have assumed the risk of documents you stored rogue... Ever try to keep a 130 lb dog on bed rest?

Our giant goofy dog, Dexter to his friends, has an injured CCL - the knee joint ligament similar to the ACL in humans.  Anti-inflamatories twice daily he's fine with...wrap a pill in liverwurst and he's a happy boy.  Being confined to the first floor...less happy.   But were not budging no matter how pathetic he looks when he begs.  No stairs or running for the next 6-8 weeks and the vet thinks he has a good chance of healing on his own without surgery.  So it's for his own good. hes actually

Who doesn't own an oven mitt?

Two of my kids went to have Thanksgiving with their father (my ex) yesterday.   Actually, bring Thanksgiving would be more accurate. the plan was for my daughter to make the one meal she can cook by herself, which isnt Thanksgivingy in the least.  My ex kept pushing to go out to eat, but the kids told him repeatedly that it wasn't going to happen.   An aside - we believe in avoiding going to stores, restaurants, etc on the big holidays as to not contribute to more and more places staying open

So I'm a ridiculously immature person, but in researching an error message from Exchange I found this...hidden for language which would be offensive to some I know it doesn't help me resolve my issue but sometimes a random thing will just crack me up and I needed that. And life takes a turn for the worse...

Yes, blogging in real time about nothing.  Feel free to think I suck. Down the hall from me they are painting an office with oil based paint.  I am not the only one with a splitting headache, eyes starting to sting, and slightly nauseated.  Four people are FINE.  No headaches, no irritation...just dandy.  So since some are fine there is no reason to close the office since the headaches/etc can't be related to the paint or everyone would be sick...so no discussion of closing early, letting peop

Liability and bad smells

I'm so mad at Mr. Buffy I have no words. Couple of minor issues but overall successful audit - thanks for the good thoughts, they helped. Nice to know I can still throw a hell of a Hail Mary when I need to.  Or two. Had a weird FJ moment over lunch today.  The auditors, exec management everyone eating and talking sports so I'm quiet as I don't know anything about sports...but topics moved on to stupid baby names since one of the coaches they were discussing is a woman with the first name of Muffett.  Someone says how names like Muffy

One day down - one to go

So far I'm still alive...let's hope I can maintain that through the rest of the audit and I get the result I'm looking for which Dilbert captured so beautifully. I thought yesterday went as well as can be expected, but I woke up today and my right eye is completely bloodshot where my son said it was too gross to look directly at me which happens when I have a migraine.  Did i mention I woke up with a migraine?  So I might be more stressed than I think.

Not a fan of red or green..let us go outside the box

Passive Agression, or I am not In Maxhell

I knew this blog would come in handy one day, and that day has come.  Sometime between 10/28 - 10/30 I took some pics for a blog post (working title "Why Teri Maxwell had a better husband than I") which I never wrote because there is nothing funny about the neglect I suffer at the hands of my headship. Most of my job involves IT.  IT is what I do, it's how I self-identify, it's how I spend the majority of most days.  But there is another part of my position which doesn't take up a lot of time because it's easier...but when it does hijack my work life it does it full force. Naughty Kitty...Why I'll Never Sleep Again

About a year ago I discovered that ASMR videos and sleep phones cured by problems sleeping.  No meds, no warm milk...nothing knocks me out as fast as a go to ASMR vid (it's the weirdest thing about me.) Sacred Tradition and Shiny Things

Cookies for inner peace...
